Module Lead Chassis

Your Role: The Module Lead Chassis will be responsible for supporting the design, release and launch of chassis product lines. Lead the business development, proposal and project delivery activities, including technical specifications, design standards and product testing.

Requirements

  • Primary task is to lead development of chassis parts from pre-concept to life cycle management.
  • Plan the process, detail planning costs and implementation timing for released CAD drawings to ensure detailed understanding of how a part will be manufactured, jigs and tooling defined, costs detailed, implementation plan available.
  • Support and work with the Design, Project and Programme partners to ensure that all related chassis components are on time, target and delivered.
  • Manage and deliver production preparation and quality achievement.
  • Monitor and ensure documentation for all chassis related components are maintained and updated as necessary in accordance with regulations and directives.
  • Ensure together with the Safety and Homologation Manager that all chassis related safety and legal requirements are fulfilled except for exhaust gas emission related points.
  • Attend formal design and technical reviews as appropriate to provide guidance related to a particular project
  • Carry out chassis quality and process assessments as determined and necessary including on the production line at Hambach.
  • Ensure components meet the required Design Verification requirements.
  • Ensure that components meet the appropriate system requirements.
  • Manage component engineers to ensure delivery of their components.

In Addition

  • Responsible for guiding the direction of the Vehicle Dynamics attribute (Ride, Handling, Steering) including tuning and testing of vehicles at required global locations.
  • Has a good understanding of chassis components and their effects on vehicle dynamics. Able to competently assess these changes in the vehicle.
  • Ensuring the tuning direction meets vehicle level targets and is a balanced solution.
  • Able to articulate issues and possible solutions to Senior Management in different forums.
  • Has a flexible ‘Can-Do’ attitude to resolving issues.
