Responsible for all on-site mechanical maintenance activities and related investments to ensure that the production assets comply with legal regulations, remain in a safe and reliable condition. All activities have to be executed in a safe, effective and efficient way, in line with the maintenance budget and in agreement with social legislation.

  • Manage the mechanical maintenance department, ensuring SHEEQ policies are complied with by own staff and contractors, empowering real team spirit and ensuring personal growth for each individual.
  • Working in close collaboration with the other stakeholders (SHEEQ, Operations, Technical services, Central Engineering) to assure the mechanical integrity of the assets.
  • Provide mechanical maintenance support/ advise and maintain a good understanding of applicable legislation and internal/ external engineering standards, incl. SEP.
  • Develop, implement and maintain mechanical maintenance procedures and task risk assessments.
  • Manage the mechanical maintenance budget (Opex) and investment programs (Capex).  Identify and implement budget and efficiency improvements.
  • Manage and periodically review the site’s main contractors for their technical and safety performance.  Develop technical requisitions for new contractor tendering and support the purchasing group in reviewing contractor bids.
  • Determine the mechanical maintenance planning in the medium term, with a good balance between predictive, preventive and curative actions.

Required Profile:

  • An engineering degree with a minimum of 5 years post graduate experience in mechanical maintenance engineering and/ or management
  • Strong leader and management skills
  • Integrity to maintain high SHEEQ skills
  • Excellent inter-personal skills and openness
  • Broad technical knowledge and sound understanding of static- and rotating equipment
  • Strong analytical problem solver and trouble shooter
  • Project management expertise
  • Knowledge of SAP is an advantage
