Job Title: Mechanical Integrity Engineer Department: Facilities Engineering
Summary of Position
The Mechanical Integrity Engineer is responsible for overseeing the chemical program and works to eliminate failures on surface and subsurface piping. Position may be located in our corporate office in Denver or in San Antonio near our field offices (Dilley, Carrizo Springs).
Responsibilities
- Performance manages Chemical vendor. Ensures KPI’s are established and on target, and reports out on performance weekly. Coordinates all day-to-day chemical requests with chemical vendor, as well as monthly and quarterly chemical reviews.
- Drives Chemical program improvements (Paraffin, H2S Scavenger, Methanol, Inhibitors, etc.).
- Owns Chemical LOE cost category. Reports out on monthly spend through the Accrual process.
- Monitors all LOCs and assigns What/Why categories for each spill to ensure alignment with Refurbishment efforts.
- Develops and maintains risk model for INEOS-owned flowlines and gathering lines, which includes estimated remaining life. Recommends pipe repairs as needed from model.
- Coordinates pipeline integrity digs for integrity testing to validate pipeline risk model as needed.
- Owns pipe spec recommendations and hydrotest procedures.
- Participates in HAZOP’s/PHA’s, What If’s and design reviews for operational changes and engages on development design reviews.
- Manages all surface Refurb recommendations and project coordination.
- Manages project spend and performs post job look backs on performance and spend on capital projects, understanding deviations from AFE and economics. Specifically for all Refurb projects (pipeline and surface).
- Supports the team in weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual KPI’s, SHE-R, production, reliability and cost targets.
- Participates in RCFA for surface facilities if a corrosion and/or mechanical integrity component is identified.
- Participates in field safety program.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of industry experience
- Preferred experience with oil and gas production chemistry, or lab experience
- Bachelor of Science in engineering degree, or Bachelor of Science in chemistry
- Proven track record of success and problem solving.
- Experience optimizing execution and business processes.
- Passion for Innovation with an entrepreneurial spirit.
- Desire and willingness to spend regular time each month (up to 25%) in the field supporting staff and understanding how work gets done.
Relocation:
Preferential treatment will be granted to candidates residing in the Denver metropolitan area or within close proximity to field operations.

Compensation & Benefits
Please note that the compensation information that follows is a good faith estimate for this position only and is provided pursuant to the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (EPEWA) and Equal Pay Transparency Rules. It is estimated based on what a successful Colorado applicant might be paid. It assumes that the successful candidate will be in Colorado or perform the position from Colorado. Similar positions located outside of Colorado will not necessarily receive the same compensation.
Compensation:
The annual rate for this position generally ranges between $107,000- $141,000 with an opportunity for a company-wide annual discretionary bonus, of up to 40% of eligible pay. This role, depending on skill level and experience, may also participate in the Long-Term Incentive Plan with annual awards, vesting over three years, ranging from 8-16% of stated annual target. These ranges are estimates, based on potential employee qualifications, operational needs, business performance to metrics, and other considerations permitted by law. The range may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Rule 4.1.2.
