Summary of Position
INEOS Energy Onshore US is in search of a Measurement Specialist to become a valued member of our team located in Denver, Colorado. The candidate should demonstrate a strong comprehension of measurement procedures in the oil and gas sector and exhibit proficiency in utilizing FlowCal software. As a Measurement Specialist, you will assume a pivotal responsibility in guaranteeing precise measurements, generating reports, and adhering to industry regulations. We are looking for someone with a forward-looking, analytical mindset who has a strong interest in harnessing the potential of AI and ML to identify and resolve data issues.

Responsibilities

The main responsibility of the Measurement Specialist position revolves around overseeing and reporting on meter accuracy and efficiency using the FLOWCAL application. In this role, you will apply your expertise and technical abilities to assess and oversee production data within the FLOWCAL database. Collaboration is key, as you will closely interact with measurement technicians, measurement supervisors, and field production data management technicians to enhance the precision and quality of production data. Additionally, you will collaborate with Allocation team members to reduce issues related to measurement in allocation processes. You will also assess external pipeline data to guarantee the accuracy of measurements from the wellhead to the custody transfer point.

  • Daily FLOWCAL exception resolution and weekly resolution of identified exceptions initially, co-develop PowerBI dashboards to identify exceptions.
  • Utilize historical data and analytical skills to estimate unrecoverable production data.
  • Maintain and evaluate facility balancing on a weekly/monthly basis.
  • Ensure consistent and accurate production data across the asset.
  • Import, evaluate, and ensure data quality for gas analyses.
  • Complete monthly closing processes.
  • Collaborate with SCADA support, communication technicians, measurement technicians, and external customers to resolve data issues.
  • Serve as the primary contact for internal and external customers to obtain necessary data for audits and discrepancy resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with industry requirements and maintain measurement process integrity.
  • Design and develop, with the visualization team, reports for liquids measurement quantity and quality.
  • Collaborate with other teams to resolve measurement-related issues.
  • Access SCADA systems to review and troubleshoot abnormal events affecting Measurement Data results.
  • Guide analysts in setting up new meters and pipeline balances.
  • Evaluate contested field and lab results and coordinate with operations to re-sample.
  • Develop reports for measurement data accuracy assessment.
  • Analyze imported and manual data for accuracy and balance.
  • Maintain meter and volume information integrity in the measurement data system.
  • Provide loss/gain support for custody transfer issues.
  • Facilitate measurement data exchange with third-party interconnecting companies.
  • Collaborate with field measurement operations and field operations supervisors to resolve balance issues.
  • Monitor meter factor trending and prepare explanations for variances.

Qualifications

  • College degree or equivalent work experience and 3-5 years of relevant job-related experience.
  • Proven experience in oil and gas measurement.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft suit of products and intermediate level Microsoft Excel skills required.
  • Proficiency in using FlowCal software for measurement data management and analysis is a must.
  • Must have an aptitude for analyzing data.
  • Travel: Field visits as required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, teamwork, planning, and organizing skills.
  • Good documentation skills required to support analysis and problem resolution.

Relocation:

Preferential treatment will be granted to candidates residing in the Denver, Colorado metropolitan area.

Compensation & Benefits

Please note that the compensation information that follows is a good faith estimate for this position only and is provided pursuant to the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (EPEWA) and Equal Pay Transparency Rules. It is estimated based on what a successful Colorado applicant might be paid. It assumes that the successful candidate will be in Colorado or perform the position from Colorado. Similar positions located outside of Colorado will not necessarily receive the same compensation.

Compensation:

The annual rate for this position generally ranges between $95,000 - $144,000 with an opportunity for a company-wide annual discretionary bonus, of up to 24% of eligible pay. This role, depending on skill level and experience, may also participate in the Long-Term Incentive Plan with annual awards, vesting over three years, ranging from 8-16% of stated annual target. These ranges are estimates, based on potential employee qualifications, operational needs, business performance to metrics, and other considerations permitted by law. The range may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Rule 4.1.2.
