What you will do:
- This position – and all positions - within the INEOS Styrolution organization requires that the incumbent commit to learning, following and practicing INEOS 20 Principles of Process and Behavioral Safety as applicable to the position. These are posted within each INEOS Styrolution facility. Each employee must also commit to following INEOS’ Life-Saving rules on a daily basis. These rules are posted also within each INEOS Styrolution facility.
- Maintain strict adherence to environmental, health, and safety regulations, rules, and procedures. Follow all safety and process safety protocols and procedures. Actively participate to maintain and improve safety performance.
- Support site profitability, regulatory compliance, and product quality through executing equipment preventive and corrective maintenance in accordance with procedures and best practices seeking maintenance excellence. Support asset improvement initiatives.
- Promote continual improvement of safety and asset reliability through equipment, job plan, and procedure revisions. Work to improve maintenance processes and methods to reduce potential mistakes and defects. Partner with operations to resolve asset issues.
- Troubleshoot and determine causes of asset poor performance, failure, and wear. Propose and lead changes to improve reliability and optimize cost.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, including labor hours, observations, and actions taken in a computerized maintenance management system. Report findings appropriately.
- Develop knowledge and use of required computer software including Microsoft Office applications, SAP (CMMS), and other specific business applications as required.
- Ensures INEOS Styrolution safe work practices and policies are maintained and will participate in Behavioral Based Safety Observation Program (BBSO) as required.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
What you will bring: Level of Education & Knowledge (Relevant experience, in some cases, may substitute for a portion or all of the required education):
- Requires a minimum of a high school diploma, GED, or ability to read, write, and perform mathematics at this level;
- A minimum of 5 years experience in mechanical and reliability maintenance in a process plant environment is required
OR
- An Associates (2-year) degree in Industrial Maintenance or an associated degree with 3 or more years of experience
Preferred Experience
- Completion of a 2-year degree or higher in Industrial Maintenance Technology or similar program is preferred.
- Certifications from trade schools and/or professional organizations are desirable.
- NCCER Industrial Maintenance Mechanic or Industrial Millwright training/certificate(s) are also desirable.
Experience in general:
Experience in the petrochemical industry required and should include experience in safe practices such as Lock Out/Tag Out.
Technical skills:
- Troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of industrial machinery, primarily rotating equipment including pumps, agitators, extruders, pelletizers, dryers, and solids handling equipment. Safe removal and replacement of various valves including safety relief systems.
- Use of hydraulic, pneumatic and electric power tools and knowledge of safe use practices
- Installing and aligning equipment, including laser alignment
- Knowledge of industrial valves, installation and maintenance
- Knowledge of pipe support systems
- Performing periodic maintenance routines including lubricating equipment for improved asset reliability
- Maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, and SAP maintenance module
- Maintain rotating and fixed equipment
- Read and understanding mechanical drawings and P&ID’s
- Perform precision alignment of motors, couplings, bearings and pumps, and lubrication
- Rigging fundamentals
- Operate powered moving equipment, e.g. fork truck
- Crane operator (with certification)
- Perform oxy-fuel cutting/heating as necessary
Proper piping connections including flanged joint make-up, threaded connections, and Lok-Ring joints
Physical demands: Ability to work at heights, work in confined spaces, lift up to 25 Lbs. occasionally, and work in the environment (outdoors; seasonal exposure to heat and cold).
