Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor - I&E/Analyzer

JOB PURPOSE:

The Instrument, Electrical and Analyzer maintenance supervisor is responsible for leading his/her craft team in execution of routine maintenance work and major maintenance projects. He/she ensures that the craftsmen execute their work in a safe and productive manor. He/She is accountable for building a strong, diverse team of craft technicians and continuously developing their capability to execute maintenance work safely and efficiently. This will insure the health and safety of employees, the protection of the environment andthe community in which we operate.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Coordinate assigned craft technicians work during normal hours.
  • Coordinate all emergency/off-hours craftsmen work that requires troubleshooting, scope definition, parts acquisition and coordination between crafts and contractors.
  • Support all off hour requests as required and approved by Management.
  • Ensure that all work executed complies with  Styrolution and Aromatics maintenance work process procedures and all applicable INEOS procedures and policies.
  • Drive continuous improvements in work processes, tools, equipment and services which support site goals.
  • Coordinate and supervise all emergency work that impacts unit production rates.
  • Promote high work standards and craftsmanship from all craft disciplines.
  • Perform annual evaluations and competency assessments for the assigned craft technicians, including Lead Technicians.
  • Identify competency gaps and develop plans to close competency gaps within the assigned craft technician groups.
  • Verify that all required craftsmen training is included in weekly schedules and completed on time.
  • Track equipment repair progress to ensure plant reliability and capability meets site performance metrics.
  • Ensure that all PM’s and Inspections are completed before target dates.   Review/audit and approve all craftsman “As found/ As left“ equipment condition documentation.
  • Evaluate and assure material requisitions, work plans, and schedules are being utilized. Follow site Delegation of Authority (DOA) guidelines for purchase of material, equipment or services.
  • Provide accurate monthly accruals for contractor services.
  • Ensure equipment and maintenance histories are maintained.
  • Continually look for opportunities to improve plant reliability and to reduce fixed cost.
  • Manage cost including overtime expenses of craftsmen and equipment.
  • Ensure time worked (including overtime) is charged and documented accurately on a daily basis for craftsmen. 
  • Ensure reporting of exception time (sick, vacation, funeral, jury duty, overtime etc.) occur to Maintenance Data Specialistt weekly.
  • Ensure review and reporting of OT meals to Maintenance Data Specialist.
  • Ensure service reports are turned into the Maintenance Data Specialist.
  • Manage the cost and maintenance of tools, PPE, shop equipment repairs, and miscellaneous supplies for assigned craft technicians.
  • Support TAR preparation and execution of the work performed by the assigned craft group.
  • Support reliability engineering with recommended changes to the frequency of PM’s .
  • Support incident investigations across the site as necessary.
  • Support Site safety programs.
  • Support special projects assigned by Maintenance Superintendent.
  • Understand how the work of the Maintenance Team affects the environment and set performance objectives and provide leadership for their area to minimize impact on the environment.
  • Communicate the importance of these issues to their team. Support the site Environmental Management System (EMS).
  • Compliance with and promotion of different behavioral and process safety initiatives and measures – supporting 20 INEOS SHE Principles, IGGN’s,SGGN’s,  SHE KPI’s, risk assessments, etc.  These initiatives are reviewed on yearly appraisals.

EDUCATION and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 10+ years of maintenance experience as an Instrument, Electrical or Analyzer craft technician in a plant environment.
  • Good working knowledge of equipment in the Instrument, Electrical and Analyzer craft.
  • Very knowledgeable of SHE procedures related to the execution of maintenance work.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
