ABOUT OUR OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for a Maintenance Specialist Team Leader to join our team on a permanent basis. The post-holder will be based in our HQ in Grangemouth and will be responsible for the following:

  • Delivering pre-engineering & planning processes to achieve Infrastructure targets for SHE, costs, availability, reliability and quality. 
  • Responsible for delivering maintenance within budget, providing cost efficiency and quality assurance of term contract 3rd party maintenance services.
  • Accountable for the delivery of effective planning and pre-engineering processes to ensure delivery of availability and integrity targets.
  • Provide planning KPI performance feedback to Engineering manager and Asset Managers at monthly maintenance performance meetings.
  • Plan work within budget allocation and provide weekly maintenance cost reports.
  • Ensure that all work undergoes the correct level of planning and is resourced.
  • Responsible for the evaluation and improvement of the performance and delivery of 3rd party contractors to achieve maintenance targets.
  • Owner of the Infrastructure maintenance work flow process ensuring most efficient approach to maintenance delivery and execution.
  • Develop and evaluate KPIs to measure and report on process efficiency.
  • Network with planning teams across site  to promote and develop best practices and use of common processes
  • Prepare and agree the high level forward plan to understand resource demand and ensure availability.
  • Provide a clear sense of direction for the Planning Team, setting team objectives and targets.
  • Conduct 1-to-1 and annual appraisals for all team members to evaluate performance and direct future development to meet performance standards.

ABOUT YOU

You should:

  • Be educated to HNC level in a Mechanical or I/E discipline.
  • Have petrochemical experience in a manufacturing/technical/planning environment.
  • Have a track record for successful delivery of major events e.g. major plant upsets, TARs.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the maintenance workflow process, Maximo and scheduling tools (P3e).
  • Have the ability to manage and provide strong leadership for a multi-disciplined team.
  • Have a high level of personal drive, motivation and commitment.
  • Assess and organise training, including all Mandatory HSE standards to ensure team competency and compliance to safe working practices.
  • Be able to communicate effectively throughout organisation.
  • Be logical and practical with the ability to think laterally with advanced troubleshooting skills.
  • Have an understanding of the budget process including budget preparation, securing of funding and cost control.
