ABOUT OUR OPPORTUNITY

We have an excellent opportunity for a Maintenance Specialist and Planner to join our Analysers team. The role leads the planning and scheduling for all related maintenance scope on the O&P Assets which requires interaction with the Control of Work, Planning, Operations and Engineering teams.

Key accountabilities

  • Preparation of Risk Assessed Permit (RAP) documents as necessary.
  • Plan and pre-engineer all maintenance and TAR activities across the O&P assets to ensure safe and efficient execution of maintenance work to meet site KPI compliance.
  • Monitor and drive progress to meet the schedule (by interaction with relevant individuals/groups and via attendance at daily, weekly and monthly planning/coordination meetings). Identify, address and report upon issues with the potential to effect scope, progress, quality or cost.
  • Scope and estimate (and/or procure contractor estimates for) all requested work and progress work authorisation via agreed processes and monitor execution to deliver a cost effective service.
  • Manage the analyser maintenance budgets to control spend evenly and provide forecasts.
  • Building of work packs for tasks (method statement/risk assessments/drawings/COSHH) and passing to Control of Work (COW) team for checking and review of process release/isolation aspects etc.
  • Assures all Statuary Inspections are planned and executed 6 weeks prior due dates.

ABOUT YOU

You should:

  • Be educated to HNC and NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a related discipline with experience in a similar environment or have extensive experience in the petrochemical industry.
  • Have a Maintenance Instrument/Electrical background with good organisational skills.
  • Have an understanding of the maintenance workflow process, Maximo and scheduling tools (Primavera).
  • Have the ability to work under pressure.
  • Be proficient in computer systems.
  • Be able to network effectively with a strong bias for action.

You may also:

  • Have an understanding of Instrument/Electrical systems, both theoretical and hands on experience would be advantageous.
  • Have an understanding of the budgeting process and cost control.
  • Be able to identify business needs and pull together resources to deliver the maintenance plan.
  • Be willing to take responsibility and lead on issues out with defined role.
  • Be willing to accommodate some periods of personal inconvenience to support the delivery of planned and unplanned work and the effective/timely resolution of unforeseen events.
  • Have the ability to liaise and co-ordinate multi-disciplined teams.
