Purpose of the Role:
The purpose of the scheduler / planner position is to perform the full maintenance scheduling and instrument/electrical/analyzer planning duties for routine maintenance and projects as needed to ensure efficient deployment of maintenance resources.
This role will plan analyzer, instrumentation and electrical work for all routine maintenance and non-routine project activities to be executed by INEOS Styrolution and contract crafts to perform preventive and corrective maintenance with minimal interruption to production
Responsibilities/ Accountabilities of the Job:
- Lead the scheduling for short outages planning, organizing and execution, as well as other maintenance upgrade projects as needed.
- Pull ready-to-schedule jobs from SAP as decided by the Maintenance Supervisor, PMC and the Ready to Schedule backlog
- Track and record daily scheduled maintenance activities, audit closure of work orders for content, data, and relevant history
- Participate in the generation of daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance schedule
- Reviews manpower availability on a weekly basis and produce the daily/weekly maintenance schedules for all stakeholders.
- Plan & manage a backlog of work for Instrument, Electrical and Analyzer crafts
- Lead the daily maintenance schedule review meeting and make adjustments as directed by the maintenance supervisor
- Manage work order PM schedules to optimize simultaneous execution of work.
- Document deviations, delays, and break-ins on a daily basis
- Manage SAP work order backlog and drive reduction at each stage of work backlog (RTP, RTS, AMT, and SCH)
- Build standard work practices and procedures in support of improving maintenance execution towards maintenance metric targets
- Perform relevant planning or material management for efficient job completion
- Implement improvements to maintenance standard work practices
- Provide back-up support to maintenance planners & manage I&E material spares
- Coordinate coverage of critical emergency maintenance activities
Experience & Knowledge:
• At least 10 years of I&E maintenance-related experience in a plant OR a B.S. in Engineering with 5 years of maintenance experience in a plant
• Instrumentation and Electrical background with demonstrated experience as an Instrumentation and Electrical Planner
• Ability to drive change and continuous improvement within and across teams
• Interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse employees spanning a wide range of disciplines, grades, etc. to accomplish tasks
• Previous experiencescheduling and planning I&E workin a dynamic manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of safety hazards, regulations, company standards and appropriate precautions applicable to industrial or chemical plant work assignments is preferred.
• Ability to maintain effective working relationships with other personnel.
Technical skills:
• Advanced user of SAP in areas of Plant Maintenance
• Advanced understanding of I&E planning and scheduling fundamentals.
• Working knowledge of Maintenance Work Process or similar maintenance management program.
• Knowledge of methods, materials, tools and equipment in the maintenance of an industrial facility.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications such as Work and Excel Ability to maintain knowledge of asset as new technology is implemented.
