ABOUT OUR OPPORTUNITY
As the Polymers Maintenance & Planning Manager you will develop and deliver a maintenance strategy for Polymers to meet SHE, business, reliability, availability and costs targets. You will also lead the execution of all Planning and Maintenance activity across the Polymers asset.
Key accountabilities
- Develop and deliver a maintenance execution strategy for Polymers to achieve short and long term targets for asset reliability, availability, asset condition and costs
- Control the Polymers normal maintenance costs to deliver agreed fixed costs budgets
- Prioritise and implement equipment reliability plans to improve reliability, availability and cost performance
- Develop the capability, organizational structure and performance of the Polymers Maintenance and Planning team to meet business targets for SHE, reliability, availability and fixed costs
- Provide leadership and capable resource to develop and implement a “One Plan” methodology across the Polymers asset
- Network with; and influence Maintenance Managers and TA’s across the site to promote and develop O&P best practices and improve overall Maintenance processes and efficiency
- Train, coach and mentor individuals in the department to fully deliver their roles and develop further capabilities and competences
- Provide availability and competence management of shift EI team
- Active member of any reliability team improvement initiatives within the asset

ABOUT YOU
- Engineering degree level qualification or equivalent experience
- A detailed understanding of the core maintenance processes and engineering disciplines
- Ability to manage and provide leadership to multi-disciplined team
- Proven ability in managing organisational change
- A detailed understanding of cost control, the budgeting process, contract management, procurement etc.
- Proficient in the use of work management systems (e.g. Maximo), planning tools (e.g. Primavera / MS Project), finance systems (e.g. SAP / Excel) and standard PC tools (MS Word, Excel, Power-point etc)
- Disciplined planning and organisation skills together with the ability to perform under pressure
- Ability to influence and direct multi-disciplined teams
- Influences key stakeholders (internally and externally) to deliver business objectives
- Strong networking and communication skills
- Has a logical, proactive and methodical approach to problem solving
- Enthusiastic, highly motivated and prepared to work flexibly in a changing environment
- Strong commitment to improvement in SHE performance
