Maintenance Planner

Location
Channahon, Illinois

The Position: The purpose of this position is to improve work force productivity and work quality by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning and coordination of labor, parts and material, and equipment access.


What you will do: 

  • Establish, maintain and improve the Maintenance Planning and Scheduling business flow process.
  • Conduct field visits to properly estimate craft labor and material requirements necessary to complete work orders.
  • Work with Reliability Department to review and update site preventive maintenance plans for critical equipment.
  • Purchase and procure all necessary non stock parts required in order to complete work orders according to schedule.
  • Create, review and modify maintenance procedures to reinforce safe and efficient maintenance work practices.
  • Ensure key performance indicators (i.e., schedule compliance, planned work backlogs) are captured and reported for equipment reliability, maintenance department performance and planning/scheduling business flow processes.
  • Able and competent to provide technical knowledge to aide root cause failure analysis of equipment.
  • Participation as needed for incident investigations, Management of Change, Process Hazard Analysis/LOPA.


What you will bring: 

  • Level of education & knowledge: 
    • High School diploma or GED.
    • Associates degree in related field preferred a plus.
       
  • Technical skills: 
    • A Minimum of three years of planner experience working in Maintenance/I&E, preferably in a chemical plant operation.
    • Requires proficiency in SAP maintenance module, or similar.
    • Proficiency with various software programs, including Microsoft Office.

  • Physical demands: 
    • Continuous ability to adapt to changes in the workplace.
    • Frequent ability to sit, view a computer monitor, see written documents, adjust focus, the use of understanding and memory, sustained concentration and persistence, working alone, have the ability to make decisions.
    • Wear hearing protection, fire resistance clothing, safety shoes and eye protection.
    • Lifting up to 50lbs, carrying up to 20lbs, travel, push/pull from a seated and standing position, stoop/crouch, balance, climb, twist/turn, simple/firm and fine manipulation of both hands, operating machinery, exposure to dust/gas fumes, chemicals/solvents, temperature extremes, high noise levels, allergic agents, wet conditions and reduced light levels.

The annual base salary for this position typically ranges between $87,201 and $130,801. Additionally, employees may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus as part of their total compensation package. This salary range is an estimate based on factors such as candidate qualifications, operational needs, and business performance metrics. Actual compensation may vary above or below the stated range, as permitted by applicable laws in Illinois.

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge and skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. At INEOS Styrolution, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are carefully made based on the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
