The Position: Maintenance Materials Coordinator - The objective of this position is to ensure adequacy of the inventories of all materials, equipment and supplies required for the plant to meet production plans and maintenance schedules.
What you will do:
- Monitor and assist with expediting open PO’s on a timely basis in order to keep internal customers informed on the status of orders.
- Respond to Accounts Payable action notices on a timely basis, by investigating root cause of exceptions and educating authorized personnel on effective use of the SAP logistics and purchasing modules.
- Champion site supply chain objectives of controlling expenditures, increasing productivity of resources, and maintaining zero >90 days on the open GR report.
- Work with the site Reliability Department to monitor spare parts stocking requirements, on an on-going basis, to minimize inventory costs and meeting plant availability targets.
- Maintain 96%+ accuracy in store inventory, and continually work to perfect logistics data.
- Accountable for the daily receiving, stores access, and parts issuing duties.
- Assist in the set up and input all spare parts used by the site on a timely basis to ensure all inventory is tracked in SAP per company policies.
- Identify and dispose of obsolete and excess inventory on a timely basis in order to convert unused assets to new investments, thru the parts review process.
- Provide guidance for the receiving, inputting, and notification of deliveries of all other non-stores materials, on a daily basis, to accurately record receipts and payables throughout the workday.
- Report all stores KPI’s on a monthly basis to inform site management on the performance of the investment in spare parts.
What you will bring:
Associates degree in a supply chain related field or 3 years directly related experience
- Thorough understanding and knowledge of required safety regulations and standard operating procedures in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience and/or certification on sit down forklift operation
- Working knowledge of the mechanical and I&E equipment used at the site.
- Proficient in the purchasing, material management and maintenance modules within SAP.
- Advanced computer skills, including SAP and MS Office.
- Ability to perform cost and activity analysis (e.g. economic order quantities, inventory costs, etc.)
Physical demands:
- Frequent viewing a computer monitor, stooping/crouching, balancing, climbing, twisting/turning, reaching above shoulder level, simple grasping/manipulation of both hands, exposure to dust/gas fumes, chemicals/solvents, temperature extremes, high noise levels and electrical sources.
- Occasional lifting/carrying up to 50lbs, travel, pushing/pulling from a standing/seated position, kneeling, crawling, firm grasping of both hands, operating machinery, wearing occlusive clothing, exposure to allergic agents, enclosed spaces, wet conditions and reduced lighting.
- Operation of a forklift
