Hours: 37.5 per week

Location: Grangemouth O&P UK

Salary: Dependent on skills, qualifications and experience

Contract type: Fixed Term for up to 18 months

ABOUT OUR OPPORTUNITY

The successful applicant will support the business by owning and co-ordinating our customs clearance processes, they will ensure that customs paperwork is prepared, handled and actioned by our designated agents to support customer deliveries from INEOS European distribution sites. They will administrate supporting transactions in SAP to ensure these logistics movements are completed accurately and on a timely basis and maintaining precise stock accounting records.  This role also supports generation of new business by obtaining rates and guaranteed transit times from our logistics service providers. 

Key accountabilities

  • Generate, collate and send customs clearance requests to UK and European based customs agents.
  • Complete supplementary declarations on the TSS portal to strict deadlines imposed by HMRC.
  • Maintain accurate records of customs controlled and customs cleared stock within the SAP ERP system.
  • Communicate daily with INEOS Distribution Colleagues and if necessary, INEOS Customer Service Centre regarding the status of material.
  • Obtain haulage rates and route transit times from hauliers for spot sales to non-contracted customers.
  • Administrate environmental reports from hauliers concerning their emissions and self-generated compliance checks.
  • Support the administration of logistics service provider performance reviews and management reports by preparing agendas and collating KPI and SHE data.
  • Offer additional operational support to the team as holiday and sickness cover within the Logistics Distribution team as required.
  • Requirement to continuously develop good working relationship with 3rd parties carriers and customs agents to ensure Ineos are continuously held as priority for their services whilst also protecting the commercial interests of Ineos within the agreed activities.
  • Requirement to build and maintain good working relationships with Customer Service Centre and Account Managers throughout Europe, whilst protecting the cost impact on Grangemouth within the customer offer.
  • Daily communication with bulk and packed multi-national haulier representatives.
  • Have a positive impact on ways to become more efficient, improve performance and reduce costs.

ABOUT YOU

Required:

  • A good understanding of the basic principles of supply chain management and the role of distribution activities in the successful delivery of good customer service.
  • Proficient IT literacy ideally experienced in SAP and MS office applications.
  • Methodical approach to problem solving and decision-making.
  • Good teamwork, interpersonal, networking and influencing skills.
  • Ability to work productively when under pressure and under tight time restraints.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

Desired:

  • Possessing relevant logistics experience including operational and commercial awareness and understanding.

Formal Interview
