The Logistics Coordinator – Trucks is responsible for facilitating the flow of products and raw materials leaving or coming into the facility via tank truck, isocontainer, or flexi containers; this includes the generation of shipping documents, labels, and weigh tickets along with verification of all incoming paperwork. 

Environment:

  • Monitor and manage inventory levels.
  • Inspection of goods and materials.
  • Develop and communicate shipment schedules.
  • Record retention.
  • Metric measurements.

External:

  • Customer Service
  • Resolution of shipment issues.
  • Tracking shipments.
  • Compliance with federal, state, and local transportation laws.

Accountabilities of the job:

Accountability 1: Safety, Health. Environmental and Quality (SHEQ)

  • Promote, ensure and sustain commitment to manage supply chain operations with no harm to people, property, and the environment.
  • Demonstrates SHEQ and Operations Leadership.
  • Support logistics operations SHEQ activities, meetings, and inspections to ensure compliance with Logistics policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance of Management of Change (MOC) and Safety action items.
  • Supports the quality management process and provides and participates in the day-to-day activities of the Logistics department to ensure the department meets or exceeds the requirements of customers.
  • Creating, reviewing, and retaining documents per ISO 900, cGMP, and DOT regulations.
  • Responsible for ensuring all transports have received the required DOT paperwork prior to leaving the facility.

Accountability 2: Inbound and Outbound Truck Management

  • Data entry using Microsoft Access, Excel, and Word
  • Work with trucking companies to schedule truck loads and unloads.
  • Accurately sign truck drivers in and out of the plant and ensure drivers receive the correct BOL’s, certificate of analysis, weigh tickets and Safety Data Sheets.
  • Verify tank truck paperwork to ensure the product and amount to be moved is accurate.
  • Perform accurate SAP data entry.
  • Generate shipping documents, labels, and weigh tickets.
  • Coordinate with the Customer Service Group to ensure INEOS’s and Eastman’s customer needs are met (e.g., scheduling, special request, conflict resolution, etc.)
  • Verify all DOT paperwork has been completed prior to the transport exiting the facility.
  • Ensure that all required documentation completed legibly and timely.
  • Interact daily with internal and external customers to deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Corrective action as necessary for delivery problem resolution.

Accountability 3: Cost Reduction and Management

  • Work with logistics to optimize efficiency and have trucks scaled out in a timely manner.

Accountability 4: Vacation Relief for Transportation Coordinator - Rail

  • Create Bill of Ladings in Rail Connect
  • Create loading/unloading documentation for rail.
  • Coordinate with Texas City Terminal Railway daily on rail car availability, inbound and outbound switch.

Required profile:

Level of Education & Knowledge:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have a minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Two (2) years or more direct Transportation, Logistics, or petrochemical industry work experience.

Experience & Technical Skills:

  • SAP Experience or similar ERP system
