ABOUT OUR OPPORTUNITY

The Logistics Contracts Specialist will provide management of INEOS O&P UK’s 3rd party logistics terminals responsible for the storage and handling of our polymer products and O&P UK’s packaging contracts.  They ensure all supply chain IT systems are fit for purpose and improvement opportunities are implemented. In this role there is requirement to line manage a small team of 2 people. 

Key accountabilities

  • Contract manager for the on-site and off-site logistics terminals located within the UK and EU.
  • Ensures 3rd Party logistics service providers (LSP) operate safely and within agreed KPI’s by developing and maintaining effective supplier relationships.
  • O&P UK’s supply chain ERP system lead and identifies and implements system improvements in conjunction with central IT colleagues.
  • Responsible for the procurement of packaging consumables and supplier account management.
  • Key Operation Clean Sweep (OCS) lead for the supply chain team.

Please note internally this role is known as a Terminals and Systems Specialist.

ABOUT YOU

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • HND or HNC level education preferrable with significant experience in a relevant role/business.
  • Significant knowledge of SAP ERP.
  • Significant experience gained within a comparable (chemical) supply chain environment.
  • Contract management experience within a supply chain function.
  • Strong business sense and the ability to influence commercial partners.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines often managing multiple priorities.
  • Leads by example and takes responsibility for their own and the team’s performance.
  • Broader skills to include teamwork, negotiation skills, managing relationships and effective communication skills.

Formal Interview
