Key Accountabilities
(Including but not limited to):
- Operating multiple machines across two areas, supervising the full area of accountability to ensure safety, quality and output requirements are met
- Planning your area of work and effectively supervise and manage resources utilising all colleagues available and be responsible for the housekeeping in their area of work.
- Ensuring that all Operators understand their daily tasks.
- Assigning all team members tasks throughout the working shift and prioritise down time reductions.
- Performing basic assembly tasks safely and to correct quality standards i.e. pump fitting.
- Following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to make machine adjustments so as to ensure the product is running to the required standard.
- Performing basic autonomous maintenance activities, including but not exclusive to cleaning, eliminating sources of contamination and ensuring Cleaning, Inspection, Lubrication and Tightening processes are adhered to by all members of the team.
- Check the quality of materials and finished products.
- Performing more complex asset care task to ensure machine performance is at standard
About You:
We are seeking an experienced Line Leader. Additionally, the following are requirements for the role:
- Manufacturing experience, preferably gained in an FMCG environment.
- Understanding of continuous improvement methods such as Lean, Six Sigma, 5s and Kaizen, preferable applied in a manufacturing / production environment.
- Experience of supervising, mentoring or coaching team members
- Basic mechanical aptitude e.g. previous experience using hand tools.
- Positive and proactive approach to problem solving.
- Capable of critical and analytical thinking to identify and support continuous improvement activities.
- Strong planning and organisational skills
- High level of attention to detail.
- Understanding and application of SHE principles
