Job Title: Lead Land Analyst – Ownership, Systems & Process

Department: Land

Summary of Position

The Lead Land Analyst will work as a technical expert handling complex projects associated with ownership information, company systems of record (SAP, Peloton), and process management. A proven land professional capable of working independently, with limited daily supervision, in a collaborative, multi-discipline team environment. This person will need to lead various responsibilities requiring an extensive knowledge of oil and gas title, ownership, and accounting process procedures. A highly qualified candidate will have significant experience in working with ownership information, have a fluent understanding of the title-to-revenue distribution process and contribute to building an innovative solution for the efficient administration of INEOS assets. Strong analytical, organizational and time management skills will be required for success in this role. 

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for understanding company systems, land ownership workflow, and implementing best practices for efficient and accurate maintenance of the data;

  • Lead the optimization of existing land ownership process procedures and workflows with attention to system utilization and downstream impacts to accounting, finance and reserves;

  • Lead the onboarding of certain ownership responsibilities (deck setup, maintenance, DOs) from external resources to internal resources, acting as a senior resource and mentor to the team;

  • Collaborates with the team to ensure ownership decks are accurately setup in accordance with documentation, then coordinates, reviews or approves ownership deck setups and changes;

  • Liaison to land and other key stakeholders by understanding complex land agreements which impact ownership (i.e. farmout/payout agreements) or provisions which impact revenue distribution (i.e. royalty deducts, non-consent, take-in-kind) and ensure that they are properly accounted for within company systems, processes and/or company records;

  • Represents Land in system enhancement projects, specifically Payout Plus Pack.

  • Act as senior resource for addressing complex inquiries from internal and external stakeholders with emphasis on thorough analysis and timely delivery of information;

  • Co-lead integrations of acquired assets into company systems and records;

  • Assist in the review and approval of complex deck changes to company ownership data;

  • Coordinate reports and land information flow with the multi-functional team;

  • All tasks and responsibilities as identified by management;

Qualifications

  • 4 year college degree or higher degree

  • A minimum 8+ years of in-house O&G experience.

  • Extensive experience in working with complex oil and gas ownership information.

  • Significant experience with various oil and gas systems of record, specifically SAP and Peloton.

  • Fluent understanding of the title-to-revenue distribution process and common challenges associated with the administration of properties as an operator.

  • Ability to analyze large, complex dataset with use of PowerBI or other data analytics tools.

  • Ability to professionally and effectively communicate both verbally and written.

  • Strict adherence to safe operating practices and compliance with company Environment, Safety & Regulatory requirements.

Relocation:

Preferential treatment will be granted to candidates residing in the Denver metropolitan area.

Compensation & Benefits

Please note that the compensation information that follows is a good faith estimate for this position only and is provided pursuant to the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (EPEWA) and Equal Pay Transparency Rules. It is estimated based on what a successful Colorado applicant might be paid. It assumes that the successful candidate will be in Colorado or perform the position from Colorado. Similar positions located outside of Colorado will not necessarily receive the same compensation.

Compensation:

The annual rate for this position generally ranges between $130,000 - $169,000 with an opportunity for a company-wide annual discretionary bonus, of up to 45% of eligible pay. This role, depending on skill level and experience, may also participate in the Long-Term Incentive Plan with annual awards, vesting over three years. These ranges are estimates, based on potential employee qualifications, operational needs, business performance to metrics, and other considerations permitted by law. The range may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Rule 4.1.2.
