INEOS has an exciting opportunity for a Lab Technician to join our INEOS Composites, LLC business at our Jacksonville, AR facility.    The Lab Technician reports to the Manager of Quality and Process Improvement.

Responsibilities include but not restricted to:

  • Perform chemical and physical analysis on samples (processing and non-processing batches) using established procedures, to include but not limited to viscosity, thixotropic index, gel, interval, peak, appearance, color, acid number, monomer percent, water percent, and barcol development.
  • Make recommendations to production operators as to what additives should be added to batches in order that all physical and chemical properties can be met.
  •  Use SAP to add the recommended adjustments to the batch for inventory purposes.
  • Maintain all components of batch records such as process log sheets, charge sheets, rework sheets, specification sheets, certificates of analysis, and other paperwork as relevant to the product.
  • Assist with the ordering, receiving, and shipping of raw materials and samples.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment to include periodic calibration, cleaning, and maintenance.
  • Recommend formula revisions based on product history.
  • Support all quality control functions: procedure updates, data entry, small scale development work.
  • Maintain lab equipment
  • Verify calibration status

Essential Qualifications

  • Two years of college in a Science related field (e.g., Engineering technology, industrial technology, material science, physics, chemistry, etc.) preferred, but not required.
  • Minimum 6 months of lab experience preferred
  • Must be willing to work 12 hour rotating shifts
  • Proficient in verbal and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of computers and standard software (SAP, Microsoft office)
  • Ability to use observation skills to problem solve
  • Ability to work overtime as needed
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States
