Role and purpose:


Representing Ineos Styrolution as primary point of contact for defined global and regional key customers, key distributors, molders and EMS.     
Establish and deliver INEOS Styrolution short-term and long-term sales strategies of key customers in Asia-Pacific and Globally on business development, portfolio optimization, margin maximization & distribution channel management.


Main responsibilities:


1.    Regional Key Account Management APAC:
•    Develop strategies for the defined key customers by coordinating with APAC business management and sales teams.
•    Understand the growth strategies of key customers and capture opportunities for Ineos Styrolution.
•    Bridge relationship between the headquarters of key customers and other APAC sites, and facilitate the local communications between Ineos Styrolution colleagues and customers’ local contacts.
•    Develop KPI for annual sales volume and CM1.
•    Build high level relationship between key customers and Ineos Styrolution.
 

2.    Strategy development:
•    Develop sales and marketing strategies together with Sales VP APAC, Sales Manager and Business Management.
•    Develop Key Accounts regional and global sales & marketing strategies and targets.
•    Implement the strategies to achieve the defined business objectives.
•    Implement new product development strategies, such as new applications and ECO polymers.
•    Adjust strategy timely to catch up with changes of market dynamics and trends.
 

3.    Sales & Pricing Management:
•    Coordinate pricing strategy both regionally and globally – regional pricing and global coordination/alignment through coordination among internal stakeholders across regions.
•    Deliver key customers Asian and Global sales targets and identify improvement opportunities.
•    Provide regularly update sales progress and forecast to Business Management.
•    Grow Key Customers portfolios and drive new projects.
 

4.    Communication with GKA and Regional Key Accounts:
•    Conduct regular customers visit to maintain business relationship and understand market and customer requirements.
•    Lead annual negotiation of commercial agreements with key customers 
 

5.    Market intelligence:
•    Collect, analyze, and report market dynamics, trends, and competitors’ activities 
•    Provide market intelligence, price movements and availability. Monitor market developments and report potential impacts on sales to Business Management.
•    Proactive proposals of marketing countermeasures to capture market opportunities.
 

6.    Product management & Innovation:
•    Propose optimized product portfolio in coordination with Business Management.
•    Develop pricing strategy with Business Management.
•    Coordinate with technical services to solve technical issues with Key Customers.
•    Collaborate with R&D and RDC to develop new products to catch up with the requirements of new applications.
•    Monitor competitor’s activities in terms of product portfolio, new products, capacity utilization, new capacity, and sales strategies.
•    Support Business Management & Product Stewardship on projects related to Key Accounts

What do you need to succeed:

•    Bachelor degree, preferably in Chemical or Material Engineering
•    10+ years related sales experience in the plastic resin industry.
•    Proven performance of delivering profitable growth, strives for improving results
•    Solid farming and hunting personality, perseverance in projects follow-up.
•    Good personality, charisma and interpersonal skills.
•    Business awareness and commercial performance bias, strategic thinking
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills, English and Chinese Mandarin
•    Ability to work in multifunctional teams
•    Ability to adapt to different cultures; sensitivity for personal/cultural differences
•    Ability to work with different levels and maintain good relationship with customers
•    Self-confident, open-minded, strategic as well as pragmatic with a can-do attitude
•    Ability to motivate and inspire at all levels - “team player”
•    Ability to recognize conflicts and take necessary actions – “Conflict Management”
•    Strong commercial and negotiating skills
•    Excellent presentation skills
•    Incline towards value or solution oriented than transactional frame of thinking 
•    Possess influencing skills to lever marketing/business management and/or different functions to connect our values to customers
•    Leadership experience would be advantageous


Technical skills:
•    Professional understanding chemical industry and polymer market
•    Functional expertise with focus in key account management and new business development
•    Competence to understand constantly changing complex market environments
•    Derive objective oriented conclusions, entrepreneurial decision-making
•    Understand cross-functional / cross-regional framework within Styrolution to derive target optimal conclusions and recommendations
