The Position: Junior Regional Category Buyer -
The Junior Regional Category Buyer (Junior RCB) is responsible for the procurement activities of one or several raw material categories in order to ensure supply security/ flexibility and to achieve best total cost on a regional scale.
What you will do:
- Coordinate with a team of site planners to ensure sites are supplied with the required raw materials
- Negotiate pricing for the raw materials responsible for
- Supplier evaluation and management
- Cost reduction opportunities
- Negotiate and coordinate spot buys
- Report status and achievements within category to Procurement Management
- Review and solve raw material supply issues which cannot be solved at site planner level
- Solve SAP master data and address invoice issues, ensure prices are entered correctly
- Reduce single and sole sourced raw materials
What you will bring:
- Degree in economics, business administration or natural sciences or equivalent experience
- Entry level expertise in procurement processes
- Good analytical skills
- Good skills in using tools like SAP, Excel and other databases
- Fluent in English (including negotiations). Additional language is a plus.
- Good presentation skills
The Location: This opportunity is located in Aurora, Illinois, only 5 miles from downtown Naperville.
