ABOUT OUR OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for a joiner to fulfil the position in our busy Facilities team. The successful applicant will provide joinery maintenance cover to Grangemouth O&P site, including assemble, installation, inspection reporting and repair on a wide range of facility buildings and installations. This role also includes compliance checks as per building regulations.

Key accountabilities

Ensure effective Joinery repairs are carried out safely and in line with agreed priorities.
Identify, address and report any issues with the potential to effect scope, progress, quality or cost.
Perform all Joinery functions within site to meet the required quality, efficiency and relevant technical standards.
Scope and estimate work, prior to work commencing.
Participate in all site HSE initiatives, systems and controls, including Permit to Work, Risk Assessments and COSHH.

ABOUT YOU

Required:

SVQ Level 3 in joinery or equivalent, with working knowledge or experience.
Ability to work under pressure and be able to network effectively with a strong bias for action.
Ability to contribute to a team and assist other trades when required.
UK Driving Licence.
Willing to accommodate some periods of personal inconvenience to support the delivery of planned and unplanned work.

Desired:

Proficient in computer systems.
Working knowledge of Building Fire Door regulations.
IPAF, PASMA, or other relevant certifications.
Experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.

Formal Interview

Successful applicants will then be invited to interview which will consist of behavioural and technical questions. For some roles the recruitment process may also include technical testing, behaviour questionnaires and/ or a delivering a presentation.

Provisional Offer

If you are selected as the preferred candidate, you will receive a provisional offer which will be subject to a medical assessment and reference checks. Some roles may also require a criminality check.
