We produce a broad range of 200+ products which spread across five key value chains (Ethylene Oxide, Propylene Oxide, Oxoalcohols, Acetic Acid, and ENB), and on many of our products we are the European market leader. Purpose of the Job:
Provides direct secure support in the development and maintenance of the company’s IT and OT (DCS and SIS) infrastructure, including LAN, WAN and communication systems. The role has a high degree of impact on the ability for the business to operate safely and efficiently.
Environmental Context:
Unavailability of IT and OT assets can have direct, negative impact on business performance. The role has primary responsibility for supporting and improving network and computer components of all IT and OT systems and is necessary to ensure the production units can be operated in a safe and reliable way, that employees can remain productive and business processes that rely on technology continue to function. Problem solving done by the individual requires determining “how to solve” and interrogatively selecting/tuning solution combinations.
The employee contributes to improvements in existing standards and procedures thus expanding work boundaries. This employee is capable of creating a scope of work to address defined problems. The individual is expected to breakdown complex issues into smaller quantifiable parts and implement established procedures and possibly develop new procedures to accomplish goals.
The individual focuses primarily on completions of specific tasks.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Accountability 1
Safety, Health & Environmental
This position – and all positions – with the INEOS Oxide US organization requires that the incumbent commit to learning, following, and practicing INEOS 20 Principles of Process & Behavioral Safety as applicable to the position. These Principles are posted throughout each Oxide facility, and each employee must also commit to following INEOS’ Life-Saving rules on a daily basis. These are also posted within each Oxide facility.
Accountability 2
Systems Support and System Risk Management
Effective performance in this role is critical to the efficient and safe operation of the business. To ensure business processes operate as designed, the individual must provide support for the technical components of our internal computing environment for IT as well as OT systems. This includes networks, servers, communication systems, protocols, hardware, operating systems, firewalls, etc.
Assist the global INEOS Oxide teams to develop strategic plans for technical environment.
Accountability 3
Troubleshooting and Performance Optimization
Demonstrate a desire to identify and address root causes.
Influence the establishment of new procedures within their functions to optimize performance.
Support developing and sharing of best practices within the local organization.
Determines priorities and may deviate from established procedures as long as objectives are met. No direct monitoring of the job.
Accountability 4
IT and Process Control Support
Support critical requirements including:
Network Security, Network Administration, Active Directory, System Patching, Back-Up
Manage LAN and WAN, Servers, Cyber Security.
Monitor system health and address any issues.
Support VMWare.
Assist life cycling computer systems.
Project Management activities with a focus on technical projects.
Maintenance of system architecture drawings, assets databases and network documentation.
Liaison between site IT/OT and other site departments as well as business IT and OT teams.
Accountability 5
Communication
Manage communication systems.
Cisco, Call Manager, Unity Server experience.
Radio communication.
Camera management.
Provide mentoring/training/backup to Service Desk Technician.
Supervise work being done by 3rd party technology vendors.
Skills/Competencies
Level of Education & Experience in general
Bachelor of Science degree in a computer-related field, or 10 years of specific experience.
Certifications
Certification in one or more networking or back-office technologies.
Relevant certifications, such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent is highly preferred.
Additional Qualifications
Good knowledge of Active Directory services (DNS, DHCP, GPO)
Network Administration and Network Infrastructure management skills
Knowledge of SQL Management Studio is an advantage
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Technical Knowledge & Skills
Understanding of highly complex technical aspects of role.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and perform tasks requiring repetitive use of hands. The employee must occasionally walk, stand, and travel by car, airplane or other means.
