Job Title: IT Systems Engineer Department: IT
Summary of Position
We are seeking an experienced IT Systems Engineer II to provide day-to-day technical support, maintenance, and administration across end-user systems, infrastructure and cloud environments for the US Gulf and Trading divisions of INEOS Energy. Bridging front-line support with intermediate technical administration. This role will lead projects associated with their responsibilities and serve as the Management of Change Coordinator. Although focused on the US Gulf division, some aspects of the work will include coordination with other INEOS divisions.
Primary Job Responsibilities
- Provide Level 1-2 support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices are peripheral equipment.
- Troubleshoot issues related to operating systems, network connectivity, printers and standard applications.
- Determine the most efficient approach to solve the applications, system, and user’s problems/situations. Identifies and decides the appropriate course of action in handling these issues.
- Escalate complete incidents to the Senior Systems Engineer as needed, ensuring timely resolution and clear documentation.
- Assist with the maintenance and monitoring of servers, network switches, firewalls, and storage systems.
- Support configuration and deployment of hardware, patch management, and backup operations.
- Participate in system upgrades, performance tuning, and capacity planning activities.
- Support basic administration of cloud services (e.g., Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS).
- Assist in user provisioning, permissions management, and security configuration across cloud platforms.
- Contribute to ongoing cloud migration or optimization projects in collaboration with senior engineers.
- Support endpoint protection, patch compliance, and user awareness programs.
- Document processes, incidents, and resolutions within the IT service management system.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience with certifications required.
- Prefer candidate with recognized industry certifications
- 7 + years of experience, prefer oil and gas industry IT experience
- Proven trouble shooting and project management skills, with a solid track record of identifying and developing sound and innovative solutions
- Proficiency in leading IT initiatives
- Cloud experience preferred
- Able to structure work around deadlines, compliance requirements, project milestones
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach
- Able to work as part of a multi-disciplined team providing back-up and support
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to identify and respond to a changing environment and willing to lead change in a dynamic global environment.

Compensation & Benefits
INEOS Energy Petroleum USA Inc. offers a competitive compensation and benefits package. This role will be exempt, and compensation includes both an annual salary and incentive compensation schemes. The benefits package includes healthcare, dental, and vision insurance for employees and eligible dependents.
INEOS also offers several other wellness, financial, and work/lifestyle-specific benefits. 401(k) retirement has both an automatic 6% company contribution and a match of up to an additional 6% of eligible compensation. We offer generous paid time off that includes both sick and vacation which is based on and increases, with industry experience.
