Purpose of the job:
INEOS Oligomers and INEOS Nitriles are a diversified global provider of petrochemicals for a wide range of industrial and consumer product markets. Information Technology within these INEOS businesses have a key role to play in delivering computer services to our customers. Our mission is to provide superior support in a growing company using the latest computer technology.
The Lima Site IT Coordinator reports to the IT Manager of the Oligomers & Nitriles businesses. The Site IT Coordinator is the focal point for delivering IT services within the Lima manufacturing site and the Nitriles portion of the shared Port Comfort Facility. The main responsibility will be providing Infrastructure Support to all Nitriles staff at these locations. The infrastructure areas primarily consist of all PC related support for hardware, software, etc., data/voice communications, first level network support, mobile phones, IT security, etc. This position will work closely with the Oligomers back-office team for server, network, IT security, O365, and voice services. They will provide first level application support but will use the application group for most of the technical support of the applications. The site coordinator will be the local champion for IT security and will work closely with the IT security groups within the business and INEOS Group on various IT security initiatives and to ensure compliance.
The site IT coordinator represents the face of IT to the local business and will communicates directly with the site leadership team on local IT issues. They will assist in preparing the local IT budget and will work closely with the IT manager on all cost reporting and forecasting. They will be the focal point for all IT support activities outside of SAP.
This position will also work closely with the site Operations Technology group, especially on management of the local site firewall separating the various networks. They will also assist the Operations Technology (OT) group on a best effort basis on support activities closely associated with IT and especially in the cyber security areas including items identified in the INEOS Group Guidance Notes (IGGN).
As part of delivering these services, the site IT coordinator will directly manage the local site IT support technician in providing these services. This will include establishing local practices to follow the global and business defined IT processes and managing the various request for IT services to ensure optimal IT operations at the site. This will include setting priorities and managing the backlog and providing clear work assignments for the support technician.
Environment/Context:
- Supporting users across the entire Lima site from users with a very basic understanding of IT to power users.
- Dealing with diverse cultural in a minimally structured environment.
- Availability to provide support after normal U.S. business hours for urgent issues.
- Ability to balance various support requests and responsibilities with some project work.
- Collaborating with colleagues in various locations in North America and to a lesser degree Europe.
- Ability to work in an outdoor climate and able to climb ladders.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Work closely with other members of the IT team to delivery effective IT services.
- Assures the operational integrity, integration and effectiveness of IT services delivered at site.
- Lead and deliver IT projects within agreed time and budget.
- Acts as an escalation point for problems not resolved through normal channels.
- Ensures that every person in the sites knows who they should contact for all IT matters.
- Ensures IT delivers on financial commitments for expense reductions and cost containment.
- Ensures that any Ineos IT guidelines, policies and procedures are utilized and adhered to.
- Work directly with users at the site to resolve their IT issues and questions.
- Install PC hardware and software.
- Provide support for local communications systems including Data (LAN) and Voice (VOIP), security cameras, security systems, WiFi.
- Support and troubleshoot site IT issues – including PC, software, network, telecom, AV equipment.
- Provide support for PCs, printers, smart phones, tablets, and other peripherals.
- Manage local inventory of PC equipment and peripherals.
- Identify opportunities for service improvements and cost reductions.
- Provide support during planned and unplanned IT outages.
- Work with Oligomers server administrator to provide hands on server support as needed.
- Work with Back-Office staff to provide hands on LAN/WAN support of for technical support outside local site capabilities.
- Manage server backups by reviewing logs, swapping tapes/devices, etc. to adequately protect the data.
- Provide occasional remote assistance to other sites as necessary.
- Assist in troubleshooting application issues.
- Provide on-call support responsibilities for the local site.
- Provide disruption recovery services to ensure business continuity (i.e. Hurricane planning & support).
- Coordinate all local phone support activities for the supported businesses.
- Work closely with the Network, IT Security, Server Admin, and O365 admin to ensure all those services are delivered as needed to the site, often being their hands and eyes.
- Ensure all site IT documentation is updated and communicated.
Accountable for:
- Basic IT support for all non-application areas at the supported sites
- Problem resolution – effectively prioritizing and responding to requests.

Education/Experience
- 5 years minimum in Information Technology
- BS in Computer Information Systems or equivalent experience
- Microsoft Certifications preferred; equivalent experience considered
- Technical Support with experience dealing directly with the end users
- Experience with remote support tools
- Local Area Networking (LAN) experience preferred
- Experience in Microsoft Operating systems
- Microsoft Office Products / Software
- Good understanding of mobile devices and the management of those is preferred
- Application Support Experience preferred
Technical Skills:
- Experience supporting and troubleshooting the local IT environment and relevant hardware & software.
- Experience with the latest Microsoft Operating Systems and environment is required.
- Experience with IT security software and practices including virus / malware detection and removal.
- Ability to maintain accurate inventory and keeping policies, procedures, and documentation current.
- Experience supporting Local Area Networks including WiFi.
- Must take initiative in mastering new skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Basic understanding of firewall solutions
- Experience with data cabling including coper & fiber.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and perform tasks requiring repetitive use of hands.
