ABOUT OUR OPPORTUNITY

This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy IT Department that supports 3 key INEOS businesses.

The Data Engineer role is initially offered as a long-term contract position and you will benefit from working with a team of skilled IT Application Support professionals.

You will be responsible for designing, building, deploying and maintaining data pipelines utilising Azure Data Factory to consolidate data in a Snowflake data warehouse, for visualisation using Power BI. The post holder must have evidenced experience of working with Azure Data Factory, Snowflake and Power BI. Experience of working with Qlik Data Integration (QDI) would also be advantageous.

The successful candidate will be expected to collaborate with key stakeholders across 3 separate INEOS businesses to identify and agree business requirements to shape tasks & agree priorities.

The post holder must be able to travel to Grangemouth for initial training purposes and then be flexible to attend the site as and when required.

ABOUT YOU

You should:

  • Demonstrate the ability to work with Azure Data Factory to develop and maintain data pipelines.
  • Demonstrate the ability to apply appropriate security to control access to data.
  • Be skilled in loading transformed data into storage and reporting structures in a Snowflake data warehouse.
  • Have experience of building visualisations using Power BI.
  • Have experience of working with key stakeholders to capture data requirements to design, extend or maintain, logical and physical data models.

You may also:

  • Have previous experience of day to day applications system support and maintenance of a wide variety of desktop and enterprise applications.
  • Have a proven track record with supporting Qlikview, Qliksense and NPrinting.
  • Have experience of working with Qlik Data Integration (QDI).
  • Have knowledge of working with Oracle or other database types. e.g. SAP Hana, SQL Server.
