Integrity Engineer

Main role purpose:

The post holder supports the definition and management of the inspection of all mechanical equipment and leads the RBI process for INEOS Inovyn NW Operations, ensuring legal, SHE and business obligations are met, and ensuring the fitness for service of all such equipment.


Key responsibilities & accountabilities:

  • Support the NW sites’ definition of inspection requirements, to ensure the legal, SHE and business obligations are met.
  • As the custodian of the INEOS Inovyn NW inspection standards, manage the processes for developing and maintaining them in line with Company standrads, leading the implementation, and providing specialist support in their application.
  • Support the asset integrity management process in the NW ensuring delivery of all business requirements for reporting of compliance, asset condition and ageing.
  • Support the technical relationship with the Competent Inspection Body, ensuring all inspections meet Company standards and SHE and statutory obligations.
  • Lead vetting and selection of third party suppliers of technical integrity engineering services.

Key skills & experience:

  • Graduate Mechanical Engineer.
  • Working knowledge of relevant legislation – Pressure Systems Safety Regulations, Health & Safety at Work Act, Lifting Operations & Lifting Equipment Regulations, Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations etc.
  • Working knowledge of repair codes.
  • A strong set of engineering skills in design, development and troubleshooting.
  • Understanding of budgets and their control.
  • Excellent adherence to standards and codal compliance.
  • Good analytical, conceptual and strategic thinking
  • Must display initiative, tenacity and concern for the impact.
  • Prepared to challenge conventional norms and provide alternative solutions.
  • Strong leadership skills to influence peers and superiors.
