ABOUT OUR OPPORTUNITY

Grangemouth represents one of INEOS’ largest manufacturing sites by volume of products with our world-scale petrochemical plants making around 1.4 million tonnes per annum of product. One of these products is Ethylene, produced by the KG Cracker.

An exciting opportunity has arose for the right candidate to join the KG Engineering Team in the position of Instrument and Electrical Team Lead, a critical role in delivering safe and reliable operation of all instrumentation, electrical systems and equipment across the asset.

ABOUT YOU

You should:

  • Be an experienced team leader with a proven track record for setting a positive example, employing rigorous approach to compliance and helping set clear expectations that empowers others to deliver.
  • Be a Chartered Engineer with a degree in Electrical Engineering or Instrumentation and Control Engineering and have between 5 and 10 years of maintenance, engineering or construction leadership knowledge and experience in a manufacturing/energy environment.
  • Demonstrate by example your skillset in the management of behavioural and process safety.
  • Be capable of defining and implementing an inspection and asset care programme to achieve legal compliance and meet site standards for Safety Instrumented Systems, Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas and Electrical Safety.
  • Manage the interface between multiple asset, business and 3rd party service teams.
  • Possess the necessary skillset to manage multi-disciplined work scopes within agreed budgets and timescales with the flexibility to safely adapt to change.

You may also:

  • Have the ability to proactively challenge working practices and engineering standards in an appropriate manner as part of continuous improvement, assurance or audit.
  • Have theoretical knowledge of the operating environment covering all common instrumentation, valves and actuators as well as relevant electrical equipment and systems.
