ABOUT OUR OPPORTUNITY

Grangemouth represents one of INEOS’ largest manufacturing sites by volume of products with our world-scale petrochemical plants making around 1.4 million tonnes per annum of product. One of these products is Ethylene, produced by the KG Cracker. An exciting opportunity has arose for the right candidate to join the KG Engineering Team in the position of Asset Instrument & Electrical Engineer, a crucial role in delivering safe and reliable operation of a diverse array of instrumentation, control and electrical items of equipment.

ABOUT YOU

You should:

  • Be capable of defining and delivering inspection, maintenance and engineering improvement programmes to achieve legal compliance and meet site standards for asset integrity, reliability and efficiency within electrical safety, safety instrumented systems and electrical equipment operating in hazardous areas on KG.
  • Drive the implementation of discipline relevant site standards, procedures and practices in support of full compliance for the KG Asset including assurance activities and continuous improvements.
  • Possess the necessary skillset to manage multi-disciplined work scopes within agreed budgets and timescales with the flexibility to safely adapt to change.
  • Be degree qualified or be in the process of becoming degree qualified, in a relevant discipline. Candidates who can demonstrate equivalent technical capability through practical experience will also considered.

You may also:

  • Have the ability to proactively challenge working practices and engineering standards in an appropriate manner where business or engineering benefits can be achieved.
  • Have a good understanding of IEC 61511 Safety instrumented systems, IEC 60079 ATEX as well as the Electricity at Work Act and electrical safety working practices.
