About The Role

The Inspection Specialist role responsibilities include conducting inspection activities and managing inspection processes to ensure the integrity of plant fixed assets while maintaining a safe working environment. This is a salaried non-exempt day shift position.  It is designated as a Safety Critical role.

Key activities include:

  • Work with Reliability engineering personnel and makes recommendations and supplies information for performing Mechanical Integrity Risk Assessment (MIRA)
  • Documents Inspection findings and recommendations, prioritizes the recommendations and tracks them to closure
  • Performs QA/QC surveillance of stationary equipment maintenance work to ensure
  • compliance with the requirements
  • Reviews and approves repair plans to correct non-conformances
  • Issues Key Performance Indications for inspection performance
  • Ability to work outside normal work schedule hours
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Adherence to all SHE policies and procedures and INEOS Pigments’ 20 principles of process and Behavioral Safety and Life Saving Rules
  • Complete all computer-based safety training
  • Attend scheduled safety meetings
  • Follows Inspection Standards, plant procedures, and Inspection Workflow processes.
  • Performs risk analysis using Company tools
  • Develop inspection plans, evaluate results, develop run/repair/replace recommendations, track inspection findings/recommendations to closure and keep Risk Based Inspection process (RBI) evergreen
  • Contributes to special reliability programs such as the Corrosion Under Insulation (CUI), Painting, and others as required
  • Prioritizes and schedules equipment inspections and any subsequent repairs in collaboration with the Operations PMC and Maintenance Planners

About You

You should possess: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of one year stationary equipment inspection experience desired
  • Ability to achieve API-510, 570, 653 and AWS-CWI) certifications within 18 months
  • The individual must be certifiable as a Level II NDE Technician  to perform MT, PT, VT and RT (film interpretation)
  • NACE Corrosion Technician certification and Risk Based Inspection Analysis experience is desired
  • Must possess an excellent knowledge of inspection techniques, performing API/CWI inspections and evaluating inspection results per industry Codes and Standards
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite software
  • Understanding of Welding Principles
  • Mechanical Aptitude – use of precision measurement tools and assembly techniques
  • Other duties as assigned

Schedule/Hours

This is a salaried, non-exempt position with typical work hours of 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., M – F.
