I&E Technician (Aromatics)
Location

The position:
This position safely and effectively maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs instrumentation and electrical equipment used on the operating units.
What you will do:
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on instrumentation and electrical systems, including transmitters, control valves, motors, MCCs, and switchgear, while following all safety procedures and standards
- Troubleshoot electrical systems, control circuits, instrumentation, and field wiring using approved diagnostic tools
- Interpret and work from technical drawings, including P&IDs, loop diagrams, wiring diagrams, schematics, and one-line drawings
- Execute calibrations, loop checks, and functional testing to ensure equipment reliability and operational performance
- Coordinate maintenance activities with Operations, Engineering, and other crafts to support efficient plant operations
- Maintain accurate documentation in SAP, including work orders, calibration records, and equipment history (As Found/As Left conditions)
- Support plant operations through participation in startups, shutdowns, commissioning, turnaround activities, emergency response team duties, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability and reduce costs
What you will bring:
• 3 + years Instrumentation and Electrical experience in a plant/manufacturing environment – AND – one of the following:
- Journeyman Electrician or higher - OR
- 4-year Electrical Apprentice Program Completion Certificate - OR
- 2 years Military training in a related I & E field - OR
• Associates Degree in Instrument Technology or related field.
• OR:
• 10 Years’ Experience as an I&E Technician in a plant/manufacturing environment.
• Must have excellent communications skills in English

• Problem Solving - Uses structured troubleshooting to identify root causes, resolve complex issues, and prevent recurrence.

• Functional/Technical Skills - Applies strong instrumentation and electrical knowledge to perform work safely and effectively.
• Time Management – Prioritizes tasks to maximize efficiency and complete work within required timeframes.
• Written Communication - Documents work clearly and accurately to ensure effective communication and compliance.
• Organizing - Coordinates tools, materials, and tasks efficiently to support maintenance and project goals.
• Decision Quality - Makes sound, informed decisions based on technical knowledge, experience, and analysis

Must be at least 18 years of age; legally authorized to work in the United States; and not require sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., TN, H1B status), now or in the future.
Must be able to fluently speak, write, and read English.
