The Assurance Team are looking for an IE Engineer to specify, plan and develop the more complex Asset based IE engineering activities within the O&P UK Assets.

Key accountabilities

  • Develop and sustain knowledge of relevant IE legislation and standards impacting the Asset equipment on site.
  • Assist and guide the O&P Assets IE Duty Holders to develop, deliver and sustain an Asset IE equipment maintenance & inspection strategy
  • In support of the Asset IE Duty Holders, develop an asset equipment Asset Life Plan.
  • Maintain in depth knowledge of IE equipment design, specification, operation and maintenance.
  • Act as the Electrical Duty Holder in support of the site Facilities Management team.


You should:

  • Minimum of degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Instrument Engineering (or similar) OR have extensive experience with other vocational qualifications.
  • Ideally have Chartered status (or equivalent) or actively working towards obtaining.
  • Have good working knowledge of the law as it applies to the design, operation, maintenance and decommissioning of electrical equipment.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of discipline legislative and regulatory requirements and demonstrated ability to appropriately translate these requirements into equipment inspection/maintenance regimes.
  • Have a good understanding of DSEAR/ATEX, Functional Safety (BS EN 61511).
  • Have experience of following a Management of Change process and associated documentation management systems.
  • Have strong IT skills – ideally with Excel, basic coding (VBA, XML), CMMS.
