The Position: Human Resources Business Partner (Part-Time) 

What you will do:  

Administer and support Human Resources programs, policies, and procedures in the areas of recruiting, salary administration and compensation, benefits, performance management, employee relations, organizational design, occupational health, and employee development. Provide Human Resources expertise to support the achievement of global and site strategy and goals.  Advise management and employees in Human Resources matters and ensure compliance with company policy, applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

•    Identify, create, and foster opportunities to maintain a positive, dynamic culture where employees have an opportunity to contribute and grow professionally

•    Report and monitor key performance indicators, such as headcount, overtime, turnover, absenteeism, and other HR KPI’s 

•    Maintain Decatur hourly pay practices, interpretation, and changes to documents and systems

•    Responsible for accurate HRIS data, personnel records, payroll data updates

•    Facilitate succession planning and performance review processes 

•    Recruit and facilitate the interview, hiring, and onboarding processes 

•    Support and follow all principles of process and behavioural safety, environmental stewardship, and preserve high standards of housekeeping and organization

What you will bring

Level of Education & Knowledge: 

•    Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business Administration preferred
•    Certified Human Resources Professional designation preferred

Experience in general: 

•    8+ years of Human Resources experience preferred
•    Working knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations

Technical skills:

•    Familiarity with Human Resources policies/procedures and HRIS/Payroll systems.
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills and proven ability to communicate with all levels of an organization.
•    Keen attention to detail
•    Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office

•    Strong interpersonal, consensus building, and facilitating skills
•    Able to effectively work in a 24/7 continuous process, multi-functional, highly skilled, team environment 
•    Highly ethical

•    Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills

Physical demands:

•    Part time (24 hours per week)
•    Ability to work in a manufacturing office and plant environment
