Main role purpose:

The post holder provides a comprehensive, generalist HR service to support INEOS Inovyn business objectives. 

Key responsibilities & accountabilities:

  • Provide generalist HR support, guidance and advice on all people related matters. 
  • Manage first-level employee/industrial relations discussions to address and resolve issues in a timely manner and in compliance with legal and Company procedure requirements.
  • Train and develop line managers to develop their competence and confidence in handling people-related issues including, but not exhaustively, performance management, absence management and employee development
  • Conduct robust recruitment processes in line with site/business needs including apprenticeship development.
  • Maintain a succession plan, identify risk areas for the business, opportunities for employee development, and cross-business opportunities.  

Key skills & experience required:

  • CIPD qualified, minimum Level 5/graduate.
  • 5+ years of experience working within a generalist HR function.
  • Experienced in working in a unionised environment.
  • Ideally experienced in working in a multi-locational, matrix organisation.
  • Practised in managing IR/ER situations.
  • Able to respond effectively and objectively to a diverse range of issues with often competing deadlines; high level of self-confidence, application of initiative and resilience.
  • Excellent communication skills and able to effectively interact with and influence people at all levels both internal/external to the organisation. 
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Applications and electronic HR information systems e.g., SAP SuccessFactors.
