The Position:
The HR Business Partner will perform a wide range of HR generalist activities including recruiting, sourcing, compensation, performance management, employee relations, training support and leading projects. The incumbent provides Human Resources expertise to support the achievement of site strategy and goals. Advises management and employees in Human Resources matters and ensures compliance with company policy and applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

- Required to give appropriate response to employee or performance issues in a timely manner.
What You Will Do:
This position – and all positions - within the INEOS Styrolution organization requires that the incumbent commit to learning, following and practicing INEOS 20 Principles of Process and Behavioral Safety as applicable to the position. These are posted within each INEOS Styrolution facility.
Each employee must also commit to following INEOS’ Life-Saving rules on a daily basis.
- Develops, recommends, implements, and maintains HR policies and procedures. Responds to routine and non-routine requests for information on policy interpretation.
- Provides confidential employee relations counseling. Recommends actions and provides coaching to management on employment matters.
- Ensures compliance with company policy and applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, coordinating and/or participating in periodic audits.
- Leads or participates in investigations and makes appropriate recommendations.
- Leads or participates in HR projects.
- Conducts recruiting efforts for salaried and hourly personnel. Guides hiring manager and selection team through the process.
- Assists in the administration of compensation and performance management programs.
- Administers time-entry payroll processing as a back-up to the primary local payroll contact.
- Supports labor relations in CBA interpretation, application, contingency planning and negotiations.
- Supports the Gulf Coast Region in employee training and development programs and initiatives.
- Identifies, creates and fosters opportunities to create a positive, dynamic culture where employees have an opportunity to contribute and grow professionally.
- Provides accurate and time data as requested by leadership.
- Monitors key performance indicators, such as headcount, overtime, turnover, absenteeism, and other HR KPI’s as required.
- Ensures alignment with Region and Corporate HR policies and procedures and participates in regional and global INEOS Styrolution HR initiatives as needed.
- May perform other related duties as required or assigned.
What You Will Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) is required in Business Administration or Human Resources or other relevant field.
- A minimum of 7 years of exempt-level HR generalist experience is required.
- PHR/SPHR/SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP is desirable.
- HR experience in petrochemicals or similar manufacturing industry is preferred.
- Labor experience is preferred.
- Working knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations (i.e. FLSA, FMLA, EEO, ADA).
- Ability to be flexible with assignments and eager to contribute to a dynamic business environment.
- Ability to lead change, influence outcomes, and provide coaching and consultation to clients as needed.
- Ability to proactively seek out solutions and answers, following through on issues to ensure appropriate resolution.
- Ability to work collaboratively on multiple projects while demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
