HR Business Partner

ROLE SUMMARY

As a HR Business Partner, you will work closely with your responsible sites’ functional leaders to support strategic and operational HR needs and collaborate closely with other internal HR Expert Groups including but not limited to, Recruitment, Talent Management, Shared Services and Compensation & Benefits at regional and global levels.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

- Develops an engaging, open, constructive and trusting relationship with key stakeholders, be able to engage them in strategic, operational and confidential topics in order to provide professional and practical HR advice and solutions.

- Applies professional, consultative and data-based approach to facilitate discussions on a variety of topics such as organizational structure and business and talent planning, in an objective and strategic frame, taking into consideration the need for alignment of business and people strategies and goals, employee engagement and compliance and risks needs.

- Works closely with various Expert Groups (e.g. Recruitment, Shared Services, Talent Management, Global Compensation & Benefits) to implement various HR actions throughout an employee lifecycle, based on global HR process model.

- Partners stakeholders to thoroughly understand their manpower planning needs, anticipates hiring demands in relation to staff attrition, retirement and business needs and translate understanding into HR actions to implement and collaborate with and guide / advise other Expert Groups.

- Be familiar with sites’ operational needs and local employee needs and be able to support (remotely and on-site flexibly) various HR services, collaborating with internal HR expert groups and local site management, from onboarding to employee relations and disciplinary matters to separation management remotely.

- Engage respective stakeholders actively in local talent succession and career development discussions (with relevant follow-through long-term actions) and support regional and global talent management processes.

- Lead in sites’ employee engagement and communication activities and disciplinary issues and employee investigations, be able to engage local labor unions effectively and constructively in alignment with Company strategies and compliance needs.

- Lead and represent sites and functions in collaborating with local, regional and global stakeholders in annual HR activities, such as performance management and rewards management.

- Support any other various organizational and HR needs representing your sites and functions, such as, but not limited to, sustainability reporting, employee reporting, customer labor audits, annual compensation and benefits benchmarking, labor cost reporting, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor of HRM or any relevant degree
- 8-10 years HR Generalist in MNC (Petrochemical Industry preferred), at least 3-5 years as HR Business Partner for onsite and remote site covering Ningbo and any other location(s).

- Be familiar with China labor laws and related regulations

- Key computer skills in MS Excel, Word, Powerpoint, HRIS (e.g. SuccessFactor / SAP or WorkDay)
- Fluency in Mandarin and English (Oral and Writing)
