Role and purpose:


The APAC Head of Supply Chain Planning will be mainly responsible for ensuring the cost effective, on time availability of products across a complex supply network of owned regional and global, interregional manufacturing sites, third party toll manufacturers and warehouses while achieving an optimal balance between demand and supply that achieves our overall working capital targets.


Main responsibilities:


To establish regional supply and demand management program through: 
•    Promoting the design, development and implementation of supply chain transformation strategy and lead implementation across the region.  
•    Consolidating and analyze SCM cost data and propose cost effective solutions. 
•    Improve business process through cost effective, efficient, and service level.
•    Map out regional supply chain process and form a robust mechanism that allows uninterrupted flow of information, materials, and products.
•    Communicate and share best practices in Supply Chain processes and introduce relevant new knowledge to the region.
•    Identify project delivery risks and potential opportunities for the business.
•    Support business transformation projects and provide project management support. 
•    Evaluate resource planning on any new projects or initiatives.
•    Primary Focal point and liaison in Asia 
•    Support cross regional projects and represent Asia in delivering required outcome. 
•    Leverage internal/external experts in network to accomplish goals.


Regional Planning management
•    A main liaison to the commercial team, which includes giving direction and providing data as to capacities and production abilities.
•    Responsible for control of the entire planning process from the demand plan through the supply and production plans to the finished material availability phase. 
•    Review sales, production plans and inventory outlook considering constraints, capacity and demand. 
•    Review orders received against forecast and work with commercial and customer service team 
•    Materials management planning on raw materials requirements. 
•    Monthly S&OP meetings for each production site with product management, procurement and production. Continuously refine existing S&OP processes and models to support new business channels and operating strategies. 
•    Weekly review of the order progress versus plans with each supplying site
•    Responsible for all tolling activities including planning, scheduling and inventory management of tolled material.
•    Coordinate and collaborate with interregional INEOS Styrolution sites to provide coverage for both planned and unplanned outages.
•    Implementing and utilizing Integrated Business Planning (IBP) within the organization to ensure data reliability, transparency, integrity, and credibility. 


Inventory management
•    Utilizing statistical models and historical trends to review and introduce stock policy assessment and definition for all production sites. 
•    Establish inventory and service targets in agreement with Product management & site SCM to support business growth and reflect supply chain reality while controlling costs (Net Working Capital)
•    Weekly inventory outlook forecast against plan to ensure sales, production and inventory is on track, and intervene as necessary
•    Weekly review of inventory forecast and outlook and seek necessary approvals and alerts in advance when targets are exceeded and (neutral and inventory targets) meeting Global KPIs.
•    Monthly review and action plans for Slow Moving, Aged and Obsolete inventory in each site
•    Establish a framework and routine for monthly reporting to compare forecasted targets to actuals, identifying reasons behind performance and results. 
•    Monitor regional incoming material flow and make it more effectively from regional point of view
•    Monitor and share direction for well-balanced major raw materials for inventory management


SAP Key User Role
•    A main liaison to the Master Data and Business Process Expert teams to ensure accurate SAP functionality. This includes being a key participant in various project work.


What do you need to succeed:


Level of education & Knowledge: 
•    Graduate level university degree with technical or business reference required. Additional MBA or profound business understanding and/or chemical knowhow (polymer knowledge beneficial) is preferable.
•    Fluent English in speaking and writing.
•    Other multi-language skill preferred.


Experience: 
•    University graduated with Chemical Process or Business Management
•    More than 10 years’ of relevant working experience
•    Deep understanding of supply chain and logistics funnel and operations
•    Basic Knowledge of Polymer production and compounding process
•    Ability to navigate and execute in a highly ambiguous environment.


Technical skills:
•    Strong computer skills in Excel, and other MS Office applications. 
•    Emphasis on SAP functionality
•    CPIM – APICS Certified beneficial
•    Strong leadership, facilitation of positive change, communications, team building, and conflict resolution skills a must.


Behavioral skills:
•    Demonstrated ability to lead others.
•    Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. 
•    Strong analytical and problem solving skills. 
•    Ability to make quick calculated decisions.
