Story so far

Since Sir Jim Ratcliffe announced Project Grenadier in 2017, our team at INEOS Automotive has grown rapidly. From a start-up to the scaled business we are now, we’ve hit some huge milestones along the way. Despite some global challenges, we brought our first vehicle, the INEOS Grenadier, from a vision to prototype and to market in just five years. And now, as the first customer deliveries of our INEOS Grenadier have begun, we look to the future with our first all-electric vehicle.

Your role:

The Head of Procurement & Supply Chain Excellence Office will play an important role in creating and developing a powerful team to prepare the organisation for the future challenges related to supply, procurement and quality assurance of the parts of our products.

You will lead the team of the creative minds, enabling the business to grow, improve, and strive to deliver the best results expected by the organisation and its objectives. This is a new role that will drive change cross functionally and be responsible for all strategic and non-operational activities driving the Procurement team, Supplier Quality team and Strategic Supply Chain team to deliver best in class processes, governance, cost, risk management, supplier relationship management, communication, and competence centre.

You will be given the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with responsibilities to develop a professional multicultural organisation. The role is part of the Procurement & Supply Chain leadership team and reports directly to the Chief Procurement Officer / Chief Supply Chain Officer.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to)

  • Recruit, Build, and Lead the Procurement & Supply Chain Excellence Office team.
  • This is an existing team today but expected synergies between several functions to make it more efficient and coordinated across the business.   
  • Drive operational excellence through the continuous improvement of key supply chain metrics.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to identify and implement best practices, policies, and procedures to drive procurement process excellence across Procurement, Supplier Quality and Strategic Supply Chain.
  • Develop and implement tools to drive continuous improvement across the supply chain.
  • Responsible for all communication, internally and externally in correlation with the company wide communications department. Build, implement and lead the communication plan from a strategic and tactical view with all suppliers/partners as well as internal functions.
  • Provide strategic guidance and leadership to the Procurement team, Supplier Quality team, and Strategic Supply Chain team.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators to ensure the effectiveness of all supply chain operations.
  • Drive Knowledge Management development and deployment and responsible for building a training plan in line with company & personal development plans.
  • Implement lean principles and methodologies to optimise processes.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments within the Procurement & Supply Chain function.

What we are looking for:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in supply chain management
  • Proven track record of driving supply chain excellence and continuous improvement
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to drive change and innovation
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Master's degree in supply chain management or related field
  • Certification is a plus – e.g. Lean Six Sigma
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software
  • Very good English (written and verbal) - German or French is a plus
