The Position:

Head of IT Strategy, Sourcing, Governance and Compliance- As Head of IT Strategy, Sourcing, Governance and Compliance, the main purpose of this role is to enforce and secure the “business partner’’ role of IT from a strategic perspective (i.e., the so-called ‘’North Star’’). This role ensures that maximum value realization (long term) is established for the business in a cost-effective manner when it comes to global IT services and solutions provided by IT. Therefore, the IT services provided must be fit-for-purpose and fully aligned with Styrolution’s business and IT strategy.

What you will do:

  • Enterprise Infrastructure Modernization - Lead definition of architectural standards for all technology services and components (applications, data, integration, technology, security, business). Present business and IT leaders with signature-ready recommendations for adjusting policies and projects to achieve target business outcomes that capitalize on relevant digital disruptions.
  • Functional Strategy Formation - Lead the development and implementation of strategy for an important area of responsibility within a function, anticipating complex issues, challenges, and opportunities and ensuring integration with wider functional strategy.
  • Compliance Management - Develop and lead Governance in Enterprise Architecture, business demand management, project, and portfolio management. Lead and actively engage with Business Process Excellence teams to collaborate closely with Business Relationship Management and wider IT teams to assess, approve and deliver business demands. Support IT security, Data Protection teams as needed to address compliance topics
  • Develop and maintain business aligned IT strategies for the IT organization as a whole (demand and supply), including sourcing- and resourcing strategies and manage (external) stakeholders' expectations.
  • Develop and articulate the IT vision that underpins all IT activities. Capture the short-, medium- and long-term goals and provide a high-level activity roadmap, including key change programs, to achieve these goals.
  • Develop and maintain competence mapping to secure all required capabilities are present within the IT organization (demand and supply).
  • Safeguard, align and provide updates in the IT Governance Board (IGB) to ensure alignment between demand and supply within IT.
  • Monitor, intercept and formulate follow-up actions (if required) regarding budgets in the Finance & Budget Review Board.
  • Provide IT Leadership, guidance and input to direct reports and their areas of expertise (e.g., Manager Enterprise Architecture) to enable them to do their work both efficient- and effectively.

What you will bring:

  • Level of education & Knowledge:
    • Master’s Degree or Equivalent Level    
  • Experience in general:
    • Minimum of 10 years in leadership positions and overall 15+ years in IT; with a demonstrable track record of managing people, processes, projects, translating business and IT requirements into an IT strategy.
  • Technical skills:
    • Developing and implementing the IT strategy, including sourcing strategy, in alignment with the overall business strategy by thoroughly understanding the various business applications and platforms (SAP and Microsoft).
    • Experience in SAP ECC to S/4 HANA migration, with solid understanding in various upgrade methodologies
    • Solid expertise in Digital transformation framework, strategies, and best practices to leverage this into a top-notch IT strategy, ready to be executed.
    • Good understanding of emerging technologies such Generative AI and experience in developing strategy and roadmap for organization will be beneficial.
  • Competencies, Behavioral skills:
    • Demonstrable leadership skills – able to influence and maintain excellent relationship with stakeholders at all levels.
