The Position: The Head of Accounting & Process Center – Americas is accountable for providing shared services in the areas of General Ledger, Accounts Receivables/Accounts Payable, Cost Accounting and Product Costing.
The responsibility for all Accounting processes globally is shared between 3 teams in AMER, EMEA, and APAC focusing on different sub-processes. The direct reports of this position are located in the AMER region (US, MX, BR).
The role is responsible for continuous process improvement as well as addressing and reducing any process inefficiencies in collaboration with our global Process Excellence team. The objective is to align processes between all teams.
What you will do:
- Strong dedication to process quality, understanding the implications of different processes.
- Ensure financial entries are made efficiently and in-time. The scope of work is not necessarily limited to AMER only with some team members working on global tasks.
- Initiate/establish process implementation and alignment not only in AMER but as part of the global organization and actively participate in and regularly lead Group process improvements.
- Provide effective leadership to a hybrid team of 11 employees in multiple locations.
- Responsible that the team meets all deadlines, (from monthly, quarterly and yearly closings to payment runs and incoming cash allocation) and ensures the achievement of defined process efficiency KPIs.
- Liaise with other departments such as Customer Service, Procurement, Supply Chain Management etc.
What you will bring:
- Level of education & knowledge:
- Minimum of a Bachelors degree in Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or a similar major.
- Experience in general:
- Managerial experience within a Shared Service Center (or comparable transactional teams) as well as hands-on accounting knowledge is required.
- Minimum of 5 years working experience in managerial finance positions including an Accounting role.
- 5 years of experience in a manufacturing industry is an asset.
- Technical skills:
- Very strong knowledge of finance as well as accounting experience.
- The ability to effectively and efficiently bridge between finance pillars and other departments as required for process improvements.
- Hands-on knowledge of SAP FI and CO is required; exposure to consolidation tasks (e.g. inter-company matching) is an asset.
- Affinity to automation and digitalization with the view of integration and efficiency
- Bilingual (e.g. Spanish) would be considered an asset

The annual base salary for this position typically ranges between $118,284 and $147,855. Additionally, employees may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus as part of their total compensation package. This salary range is an estimate based on factors such as candidate qualifications, operational needs, and business performance metrics. Actual compensation may vary above or below the stated range, as permitted by applicable laws.
The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge and skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. At INEOS Styrolution, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are carefully made based on the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
