Group Risk Manager

Reporting to: INEOS Group Risk and Insurance Director

Role Objectives

Reporting to INEOS’ Group Risk & Insurance Director, the Risk Manager will work with the INEOS R&I Director to successfully design, implement and maintain INEOS’ Risk management structures and Insurance programmes.

Effective management of business risk and insurance needs, and provision of clear, prompt advice to facilitate and enable the business.

 

Competencies

Managing Relationships

  • Supporting and working with the INEOS R&I Director in defining and quantifying the Group’s risk appetite / tolerance.
  • Supporting key INEOS business stakeholders in implementing the Group’s risk and insurance objectives.
  • Working with INEOS Business Units and stakeholders to ensure adequate, cost effective and timely protection/risk transfer for business activities.
  • Management of relationship with third parties (Carriers, Brokers, Engineers and any other third-party interactions regarding risk and insurance).
  • Representation of risk and insurance throughout INEOS’ Business Units.
  • Provision of timely and accurate advice to the business as needs arise.
  • Liaison with business stakeholders to clearly communicate insurance information and requirements.

 

Managing Process and Administration

  • Working with the INEOS R&I Director to scope, price and implement insurance programmes with third party brokers and insurers.
  • Administration and governance of Risk and Insurance documentation across all lines of insurance.
  • Reviewing Risk and Insurance programme against stakeholder requirements, ensuring Insurances are tested against requirements and remain fit for purpose, identifying gaps.
  • Working with business stakeholder to gather accurate data for representation to brokers and insurers (Renewal data collection, verification, analysis and reporting. Premium allocations).
  • Ensuring stakeholders are provided with timely and clear advice for risk and insurance needs.
  • Assist key business stakeholders in identifying and responding effectively to risk.
  • Review, assess and report significant risks and issues identified or reported by the business as necessary.
  • Assisting the business throughout the claims process.
  • Effective organisation of workload within the business, and with third party providers.
  • Monitoring third party performance against KPIs.

  • Promote the best interests of the company at all times.
  • Support INEOS’ goals and values.
  • Encourage and drives quality and continuous improvement of processes used across the business and external third parties.
  • Ensure insurance programmes are compliant with regulatory requirements.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • Previous experience in the risk and insurance sector across multiple lines of corporate and private insurance.
  • Excellent knowledge of industry best risk management practice including regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in developing and implementing insurance programmes and processes.
  • Ability to understand and articulate the commercial benefits of effective risk management.
  • Excellent communication, relationship management and influencing skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective internal and external relationships.
  • Ability to analyse, present and report risk management data to R&I Director and senior stakeholders.
