INEOS has an exciting opportunity for a Gelcoats Technical Technical Application Engineer to join our INEOS Composites business at our Miszewo Plant (Poland).

Reporting to the GC Technology Manager, this position is essential for the connection to our customers, market needs, product development and production operations. The main goal is to ensure that our customers receive first-class products and personalized services fulfilling and maintaining the highest standards of quality and excellence.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

Customer and Market Connection:

  • Collaborate with the technology manager for gelcoats and the scientist of the R&D department for gelcoats to keep our customers satisfied with our technical service and support.
  • Support the R&D laboratory in solving technical problems
  • Optimize the production process of existing products together with the team.

Quality and Support:

  • Enable quick resolution and support for quality issues and claims at production site
  • Suggest improvements for products and applications including active participation in new product development projects

Laboratory and Production Support:

  • Handle sample requests and color matching in the laboratory of the production plant
  • Support pilot productions and implementation of the industrial scale-up in the production
  • Find and eliminate production errors together with the production team

In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:

Level of Education & Experience in General:

  • Bachelor or above degree majored in Chemistry, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, or related science or engineering degree. Composites application experience is an advantage.
  • Highly experienced technicians with a robust technical background and extensive years of work in laboratories or chemical production plants will also be considered

Technical Skills:

  • Possessing logical thinking, advanced problem-solving skills, and creativity to address technical and application issues. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong command of written and spoken English. Open to traveling to visit customers, with a maximum of 20% travel time.
  • Previous experience in technical service, product development, or production support in material applications is beneficial for this diverse and varied job position. The role requires the ability to work in an international team distributed across several countries, with communication in both Polish (native language) and English (company language), both spoken and written.
