Job Description
INEOS Energy US Marketing is hiring a Gas Marketing Manager on a full-time basis for its Houston, TX location. This individual will liaison between the operations team, midstream gas gathering providers and INEOS Energy Trading to ensure optimal performance for new and existing production. This role will maintain relationships with current gas midstream providers, while cultivating new contacts, to ensure maximum value for gas produced. This role provides oversight for existing gas gathering & processing contracts to ensure contract terms are administered properly. This individual will be part of a team that manages all commercial aspects of marketing oil & gas.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Manage relationships with existing midstream providers to provide the highest level of safety and environmental compliance, as well as optimal performance to maximize gas value.
- Work closely with existing gas gathering midstream providers to ensure contracts are administered appropriately and production downtime is minimized while initiating new contacts to ensure maximum value to the US Onshore assets.
- Direct commercial interaction between US Onshore operations team and midstream providers on new well connections, ensuring appropriate gas takeaway capacity is ready when needed.
- Cultivate new contracts for gas processing, transportation and downstream customers to ensure maximum crude value for US Onshore production.
- Coordinate with internal and external customers on daily production requirements and socialize midstream/downstream provider capacity changes.
- Liaison between US Onshore operations team and midstream providers to coordinate any planned or unplanned downtime, pipeline capacity constraints and issue resolution.
- Work closely with INEOS Energy Trading to provide forecasts of gas available to markets, communicating planned and unplanned outages.
- Monitor gas gathering pipeline conditions and gas processing plants performance; make appropriate recommendations to optimize production.
- Ability to interpret pipeline performance and production data in meaningful way to highlight areas of improvement.
- Support evaluation and justification for new pipeline projects.
- Administer existing contracts to ensure terms are appropriately managed.
- Prepare, evaluate, and negotiate new gas gathering agreements, as needed.
- Monitor pipeline imbalances and work closely with logistics coordinator to minimize impacts.
- Work with the Land team to minimize imbalances due to over/under-production from working interest owners.
- Act as a liaison with scheduler and volume accounting for invoice reconciliation.
- Support special projects as requested.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or similarly related field
- At least 5 years of experience in energy business in gas gathering, gas processing, NGL fractionation, distribution and/or production
- Operations management experience with midstream assets (i.e. pipeline, gas processing, fractionation) a plus
- Ability to develop strong relationships with both internal and external customers
- Strong knowledge of gas gathering and processing contract terms and economics
- Experience preparing, evaluating, and negotiating term business development opportunities with midstream providers
- Communication skills needed to present reports, plans, and recommendations to leadership as needed.
- Ability to handle problems and facilitate successful outcomes
- Ability to communicate and resolve issues in a professional and tactful manner
- Superior working knowledge of Microsoft related products such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook and Teams
- Willingness to travel as needed
