Story so far
Since Sir Jim Ratcliffe announced Project Grenadier in 2017, our team at INEOS Automotive has grown rapidly. From a start-up to the scaled business we are now, we’ve hit some huge milestones along the way. Despite some global challenges, we brought our first vehicle, the INEOS Grenadier, from a vision to prototype and to market in just five years. And now, as the first customer deliveries of our INEOS Grenadier have begun, we look to the future with our first all-electric vehicle.

We’re doing things differently.
Your role: The Financial Reporting Manager will manage the accounting team and is responsible for all day-to day accounting tasks and activities. Key areas of responsibility include month end financial close, lead on local statutory audits and will look to streamline processes within the month end close process. What makes this role unique is that you can share and bring in your broad financial knowledge as well as strong communication skills as your responsibility will cover multiple legal entities operating in several different countries. We´re buliding the team - be part of it.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Evaluate, develop, and improve department controls, systems, and procedures in order to increase accuracy and efficiency.
- Overall responsibility for the INEOS Group reporting via internal system.
- Review of balance sheet reconciliations
- Review/ preparation of variance analysis and monthly results to present at month end review meetings.
- Complete understanding of end to end processes within finance and be able to identify where there are GAPs/Inefficiencies that need addressing
- Ensure accuracy of the general ledger, including identification and classification of fixed assets, revenue, COGs and Stock.
- Review the Intercompany process and reporting and guide the team on improvements and clearing of mismatches.
- Lead the completion of the annual statutory accounts and filing of the annual corporation tax returns and computations.
- Work with external auditors to ensure correct and timely closing and reporting at year-end.
- Provide input to systems development strategy and enhancement requirements, including providing appropriate resource to test new developments.
- Develop staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships.
What we are looking for:
- Qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA, or relevant degree).
- Minimum of 3 years experience managing a transactional team.
- Experience in all key areas of accounting responsibility including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Billing, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, VAT and Treasury.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and development of Financial statements
- Good understanding of financial controls.
- Good systems knowledge, specifically a good working knowledge of SAP is desirable.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and persuasive skills
- Logical thinking and meticulous attention to detail.
- Self-motivated and able to prioritise multiple activities.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team and take on ownership of delivery to deadlines
- Some Automotive industry and/or Manufacturing experience would be a positive but is not essential.
