Financial Reporting Manager, Asia

Lead a team to be primarily in-charged of month-end close and related activities across Asia and prepare Asia performance consolidations, planning and analysis to BU/Group.

o    Support Head of Finance, Asia and work closely with Asian sites’ financial managers and 
o    Provide guidance to Commercial, HR and other stakeholders on finance related matters. Interface with external stakeholders e.g. Auditors and local authorities

Accountability:
o    Overall in-charge of all accounting activities and processes, and financial deliverables in Shanghai entity
o    Support Head of Finance, Asia and work closely with Finance secondees/team across Asia to ensure timely, smooth, reliable and quality month-end close activities, reporting and planning relevant in accordance to INEOS group requirement. 
o    Identify issues and provide robust solutions
o    Support Head of Finance, Asia and the Head of Commercial, Asia to manage and drive performance management across Asia sites and drive annual budget and rolling forecast processes to ensure desired results are met.
o    Develop and customize performance management process and fit-for-purpose management information to support effective decision-making
o    Responsible for robust working capital management
o    Identify control weaknesses and implement control measures
o    Share best practices, generate new ideas and promote innovation across the Asia team. 
o    Lead FP&A team in Shanghai to carry out day to day FP&A functions and act as advisory to KL FP&A team
o    Ensure that the Company is compliance with all statutory, regulatory and other external and internal operating, reporting and record keeping requirements 
o    Act as expert user to sure SAP system integrity and consistency across sites, investigate discrepancies and work with Asian sites to prepare reconciliations and provide solutions. 
o    Act as the key liaison to interface with BU/Group and other departments e.g. HR and Commercials, as well as external stakeholders e.g. Auditors, banks and local authorities.

Level of education & Experience in general
Bachelor Degree in Finance or Accounting, with more than 7 years relevant experience in related fields

Technical Skills
o    Understands & works individually through highly complex technical accounting & finance issue and performs work 
o    Mentors junior staff in field of expertise.
o    Has a deep working knowledge of how SAP and other financial accounting systems and software works with strong problem solving & diagnosing skills 
o    Diagnoses and solves complex, rare technical or process issues, and evaluate impact on business. 
o    Provides multiple, creative alternative solutions as required.

o    Ability to trouble shoot and work independently
o    Demonstrate experience in building and directing teams, leadership and an ability to work with different cultures.
