The Position: Feedstock Manager - This position is responsible for purchasing feedstocks (Ethylene and Benzene) structurally as well as on an opportunistic basis from our suppliers’ ensuring product is competitively sourced and delivered when and where required.


 

What you will do:

  • Source feedstocks for our various styrene monomer sites in NAM competitively.
  • Negotiate contracts, develop and implement a feedstock purchasing strategy.
  • Manage inventory targets and ensure KPIs are being met.
  • Watch and analyse global (feedstock) market trends and give recommendations to the Business Team.
  • Coordinate feedstock demand with EB/SM sales, logistics, supply chain and operations.
  • Support spot sales of EB and Styrene with on time and competitive feedstocks.
  • Identify arbitrage opportunities and its impact to future feedstock prices.
  • Source bio and bio circular benzene from our conventional benzene suppliers as support for our polymer sustainability efforts.

 
 

What you will bring: 

  • Level of education & knowledge: 
    • University degree, preferably in science and/or business.
    • Minimum of 3 years related experience. 
  • Experience in general: 
    • At least 5 years of experience in chemical industry.
    • Competence and vision to enable the negotiation of shorter and complex, long-term contracts to ensure optimum business results.
    • Experience and competence to understand dynamic market environments.
    • Strong negotiating skills.
  • Technical skills: 
    • Profound understanding of economics, business models, chemical value chains and their interdependencies.
    • Understanding of finance and accounting, contract law, business systems.
  • Competencies, Behavioral skills: 
    • Strong communication skills, excellent team player, analytical and strategic thinking.
    • Strong performance in INEOS Styrolution’s core values - safety, customer understanding, quick decision making and flexibility, passion for results, competitive, entrepreneurial spirit, reliability and valuing and respecting people.
