Job Title: Facilities Engineer IV                                                                                  Department: Engineering

Summary of Position
The Facilities Engineer is responsible well site surface kit performance. The Facilities Engineer will partner with operations to ensure reliability is managed on rotating equipment, surface kits are protected from an integrity management standpoint, brownfield projects including design, HAZOP, proper execution, commissioning, and startup. In addition, they will assist with troubleshooting problems, performing failure analysis to reduce failures and work across teams to integrate learnings for new builds and brownfield sites.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with SHE-R, production team, and field staff to improve surface kit with respect to personal and process safety / integrity management program.
  • Investigate Loss of Containment (LOC) incidents identifying root causes, then implementing appropriate changes to reduce LOC incidents.
  • Manage and report on surface kit reliability and efficiency.
  • Will own relationship with specific vendors, setting up KPI review meetings and performance managing as necessary.
  • Support the team in weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual in critical KPI’s, SHE-R, production, reliability and cost targets.
  • Capture and improve all surface related downtime.
  • Write AFE’s with justifying economics (IRR, NPV payback) for surface facility modifications, ranging from large scale retrofits, artificial lift installs, to smaller scale modifications.
  • Perform project look back reviews to ensure costs and anticipated outcomes are achieved. If not understand why and drive improvements into the future
  • Ensure all work is performed properly through a management of change process.
  • Participate in HAZOP’s, What If’s and design reviews for operational changes and engaged on development design reviews.
  • Participate in the Pre-Start Up Safety Review process.
  • Will own a key cost category and report out on it, such as rentals-compression, maintenance, automation or others.
  • Partner across a multi-disciplinary team to ensure well site surface kits are optimized.
  • Work with procurement to ensure we have adequate vendor availability and costs are managed.
  • Performance manages specific vendors that will be assigned to you.
  • Developing processes and systems to minimize backlog and cycle times of down well due to surface related issues.
  • Manage project spend and perform post job look backs on performance and spend, understanding deviations from AFE and economics.
  • Participating in RCFA for surface facilities
  • Participating in field safety program

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10+ years of industry experience
  • Bachelor of Science in engineering degree
  • Proven track record of driving improvements and profitability into the business
  • Proven track record of improving safety performance.
  • Track record of improving process safety through effective controls
  • Ability to find, evaluate, and successfully implement technology solutions to improve safety, cost, and execution.
  • Proven track record of success and problem solving.
  • Ability to develop and lead high performing, multidisciplinary, technical teams.
  • Experience optimizing execution and business processes.
  • Passion for Innovation with an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Desire and willingness to spend regular time each month (up to 25%) in the field supporting staff and understanding how work gets done.

Relocation:

Preferential treatment will be granted to candidates residing in the Denver, Colorado metropolitan area.

Compensation & Benefits

Please note that the compensation information that follows is a good faith estimate for this position only and is provided pursuant to the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (EPEWA) and Equal Pay Transparency Rules. It is estimated based on what a successful Colorado applicant might be paid. It assumes that the successful candidate will be in Colorado or perform the position from Colorado. Similar positions located outside of Colorado will not necessarily receive the same compensation.

Compensation:

The annual rate for this position generally ranges between $117,000 - $171,000. with an opportunity for a company-wide annual discretionary bonus, of up to 27% of eligible pay. This role, depending on skill level and experience, may also participate in the Long-Term Incentive Plan with annual awards, vesting over three years, ranging from 8-16% of stated annual target. These ranges are estimates, based on potential employee qualifications, operational needs, business performance to metrics, and other considerations permitted by law. The range may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Rule 4.1.2.
