Export Specialist (m/f/d)
ORGANISATIONAL CONTEXT AND JOB PURPOSE
This role takes the lead in executing INEOS Styrolution Europe's exports worldwide from EMEA sites. From coordinating and managing containerized sea-freight shipments, airfreight, return shipments, overland exports to managing courier services. Additionally, the Export Specialist coordinates and leads all required activities to ensure proper booking and document management, according to business needs and process requirements. As well as complaint management within your area of export management. Your mission is to ensure seamless, efficient operations that meet all legal, internal, and customer-specific requirements. RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Ensure smooth execution of INEOS Styrolution Europe’s orders from specific loading points to specific customers, customer regions and/ or destination countries worldwide.
- Act as primary contact for containerized sea-freight topics.
- Is go-to-person for all containerized sea-freight relevant topics.
- Maintain proper communication with internal and external stakeholders, providing necessary information and reporting for the area of responsibility.
- Initiates and supports improvements with regards to efficiency, costs and quality.
- Ensure compliance with required documentation and archiving, while handling complaint management and return shipments as needed.
- Solve transportation, booking or document handling issues internally together with Supply Chain Execution, Customer Service and other relevant teams.
- Collaborate with third parties such as booking agent, logistic service providers, forwarders, tollers.
- Offer daily Supply Chain solutions to all relevant partners and oversee their implementation.
- Engage with third parties and internally through clear, timely communication, relevant information sharing and active participation in meetings, adhering to the Code of Conduct.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
- Commercial education as a minimum such as forwarding merchant, or an equivalent qualification. A bachelor in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business or related field is also suitable.
- Two years of experience with Order to Cash processes, logistics and various modes of transportation and containerized sea-freight and export related processes.
- Experience in a global manufacturing industry, ideally plastics or chemicals industry.
- Fluent English and either German or Dutch in speaking and writing.
- Proficiency in working with SAP ERP SD and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, etc.).
- Attention to detail: Ensures accuracy in execution, preventing errors that could lead to delays or compliance issues.
- Facilitates communication and alignment among internal teams and external partners, enhancing efficiency and problem-solving.
- Complexity management: Enables effective decision-making in navigating the diverse variables and challenges inherent in export operations.
- Priority Setting and urgency: Essential for meeting deadlines, addressing urgent matters promptly, and ensuring timely delivery to customers.
- Organizational and planning skills: Key for coordinating tasks, resources, and stakeholders efficiently.
