ABOUT OUR OPPORTUNITY
The ERP Systems Manager will lead a team of 3 SAP Analysts and provide an understanding of business priorities, expertise and experience in SAP and related applications (ERP systems). The post holder will define and deliver strategies, processes & procedures and resources to maintain and develop ERP systems & services. The ERP Systems Manager is also responsible for ensuring the systems continue to meet the existing business requirements and to manage any changes to the system driven by new requirements.
Key accountabilities
- Ensure that best practices & IT standards / processes are developed and consistently followed to ensure that projects are delivered on time; within budget, meeting the stated business requirements and technical performance commitments.
- Constant monitoring of users’ issues raised, completing own developments and directing staff to implement the solutions agreed and follow up to closure to achieve user satisfaction.
- Responsible for demonstrating leadership in compliance by ensuring that relevant IT standards, training materials and processes are created & updated on a regular basis.
- Assess demand and evaluate business requirements on all areas of the SAP scope to develop and propose options, processes and resources (internal and external) to ensure the ERP Systems deliver appropriate and cost effective solutions.
- Ensure ERP systems and services are managed and maintained in line with external audits.
- Manage third party contracts & relationships with suppliers and outsourced partners to meet their agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Constant monitoring of users’ issues raised, completing own developments and directing staff to implement the solutions agreed and follow up to closure to achieve user satisfaction.
- Provide expertise within a functional area of SAP (choice of FI/CO or SD/MM) on the use and appropriate development of the systems and business processes.
Special features
- European role covering Refining in all of Europe and FPS in Scotland, therefore there will be an element of Travel.
- Conflicting business requirements & priorities need to be effectively managed over multiple sites, applications, and businesses to ensure they all get the resource they need when required to ensure on time delivery of application development.
ABOUT YOU
Required:
- Degree qualified with experience or equivalent level of experience in Business Studies, Financial or Commercial processes.
- Delivery of multiple successful full life-cycle implementations of SAP.
- Experience in out-source service & contract management.
- Expert understanding of 1 or more SAP modules.
- Detailed understanding of SAP architecture and capabilities including ERP related applications.
- Technical configuration experience in SAP; at least 5 full project cycles and 6 years of support.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal in English) including at senior levels.
- Self-motivated individual with passion for service delivery and attention to detail, encouraging team members to have the same ethos.
- Driven to attain goals and pursue excellence being a role model for the team.
