Organisational context and main purpose of the job:
Support the Antwerp organization (2 plants) and ensure compliance with the environmentallegislation (in a broad sense), stimulate and coordinate sustainability activities among internal departments and ensure the interests of the company with the different share- and stakeholders for both INEOS Inovyn Antwerp sites.
Main responsibilities:
- As an environmental Manager you are responsible to maintain the quality, energy and environmental management systems. (ISO 14001, ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001). This also includes the coordination of all relevant audits, performance monitoring and inspection programs.
- Keep up to date on all the relevant law and changes, and implementation within the plants.
- Ensure the internal environmental compliance of the plants, including all relevant (external and internal INEOS and Inovyn) reporting on environmental topics.
- Advising on the environmental strategy of the sites for sustainable operation and further reducing the environmental and energy impact.
- Represents the site in external working groups ( Essencia, port of antwerp,..)
- Ensuring all necessarypermits are obtained in order to operate the installation, ensure compliance to all Licence to Operate projects
- support and develop programs for futher reduction of emissions and investments
- driving the waste management system
- Promote and train environmental awareness of the INEOS Inovyn Antwerp employees for sustainable operation and propose corrective measures.
- Communicate extensively with corporate, key internal and external stakeholders, government and regulatory bodies
-You are the key external contact for all energy related topics, for which you will need to further extend the internal energy information network
- Preferably, you act as RPO (radiation protection officer)
- conduct all necessary tasks related to the INEOS Safety principles and Life Saving Rules. Act as an ambassador for these principles towards INEOS employees, contractors, suppliers and visitors. You take responsibility to ensure the health and safety of all people on site and the environment.
Essential skills and knowledge:
Master in chemical engineering, bio-engineer or equal-
Environmental Coordinator Type A
- At least 5 years experience in an industrial environment or demonstrable Environmental experience in the chemical industry.
- Knowledge of ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001), internal and external audits
- Independent, advisory role for management and authorities
- An ambitious team player
- High sense of responsibility - A communicative and consistent leader who is imbued with the desired attitude and can convey this with conviction to all employees at both sites.
