ABOUT OUR OPPORTUNITY

Grangemouth is a top tier COMAH site with a large ethylene cracker, ethane import terminal, two world scale polymers plants, power station and other petrochemicals processes. There is a large range of electrical equipment in use within these assets; some of which has significant complexity and is critical to safe and economic plant operations.

The Engineering Support Specialist within the ICE Assurance team supports the O&P business comply with a range of industry and internal standards by supporting the computerised maintenance management system and hazardous area inspection system. The role also produces regular monthly reports for communication to asset management, the O&P board and INEOS capital, and provides documentation and data analysis support to the central ICE team and assets.

As part of the role, you will be required to;

  • Support Asset teams in meeting the site and industry standards and legislation, through document review and control, improvement plans, data management, and
  • Be an administrator for the site maintenance management and electronic inspection systems to manage user accounts, data, and provide training.
  • Manage and input data from site operations, maintenance activities, and improvement projects.
  • Provide data analysis support and produce Key Performance Indicator reports.
  • Complete site surveys/audits and collect technical data as required to support the Asset Care Policies and maintenance strategies.

ABOUT YOU

Required:

  • Have experience working with maintenance management systems (such as Maximo)
  • Be familiar with using Excel to an intermediate level (macros, pivot tables, etc.)
  • Have excellent communication and presenting skills (both written & verbal)
  • Be experienced in organising meetings and taking minutes
  • Be adaptable in learning new systems and processes for emerging technologies
  • Have strong time management in order to meet deadlines in high pressure situations
  • Be able to manage multiple tasks and organise workloads effectively
  • Be able to work well as part of a team in order to achieve a common targets

Desired:

  • Be able to read technical documents (e.g. datasheets) and extract key information
  • Have experience of working in the petrochemical, manufacturing, or similar industry
  • Have experience with basic coding (such as XML or VBA)
  • Have training or experience working with hazardous areas (CompEx)

Formal Interview
